Wisconsin Rage Inc. - 2022 Welcome Packet
Welcome and congratulations! The Wisconsin Rage fastpitch softball club is excited and proud to
welcome you and your daughter to the 2021/2022 season. For definition purposes, the 2021/2022 season
begins on September 1, 2021 and ends August 31, 2022. The information below will hopefully answer any
questions you may have while clearly stating the organization’s expectations for the season. Please take the
time to read this with your daughter. By acknowledging and accepting these guidelines, we can ensure our
teams, coaches, and families have a fun and successful season.

ORGANIZATION AND TEAM GOALS:
    A. Develop and promote skill advancement of all players, in all facets of the game.
    B. Promote healthy competition and encourage players to aspire to a higher level of play.
    C. Emphasize teamwork, skill development, leadership and personal growth.
    D. Develop and encourage effective communication with coaches, parents, and teammates.
    E. Become community partners with businesses in and around the Southeastern Wisconsin area.

ATTENDANCE:
All players are held to a higher level of commitment in regard to participating in practices, games, and
tournaments. Your commitment is necessary to improve the physical and technical skills required to
become competitive on the field as an individual, and as a team. Promptness to all team events is expected.
During our off-season (Sept. 1st – March 14th), your commitment to your Rage team may come after the
current in-season sports. We encourage and expect a well-rounded athlete! However, in-season (March
15th – July 31st) your commitment to the Rage is your first athletic priority (with the exception of High
School players). At all times, your responsibility to school comes before any athletic commitment.

PLAYING TIME:
There is no guarantee of playing time. This is a competitive organization where winning takes a high
priority. Time on the field is earned during practice and not everyone can be a “starter”. Our coaching
staffs are very much aware of the desire of all our girls to play. They will provide playing time for each
individual in a manner that balances the needs of the team and the player, within the organization’s goal to
be competitive at all times.

FORMS/PAYMENT POLICIES:
    A. Parents/guardians need to complete and submit all paperwork and make 2021/2022 player fee
payments on time. Preferred method of player payment is via the Wisconsin Rage website.
Failure to do so may result in your daughter losing practice and playing opportunities. The
payment schedule is as follows for 10U – 16U age groups:

                                                         10U – 16U
         - $250.00 Deposit upon accepted offer to play for Rage team. Offer is NOT binding by either party until
         payment is received.
         - $200.00 payment due October 1, 2021
         - $200.00 payment due December 1, 2021

         - any team specific “track/fee adders” will be communicated by that team’s coach to families separately
Wisconsin Rage Inc - 2022 Welcome Packet
Anyone who has not made payments within the scheduled windows will not be able to
continue practicing or participate in winter tournaments. If there is an issue with making
payment, PLEASE talk to your head coach. The coach will contact the board and the board
will work with the family to either set up a payment schedule or look for other alternatives to
help offset the players fees cost. No girl will be prevented from playing due to financial
hardship. NOTE: any payment arrangement other than the aforementioned schedule
needs to be made by October 1, 2021 with our treasurer

    B. All paperwork should be mailed to the Wisconsin Rage mailing address below or given to your
       head coach (preferred method).

                  Wisconsin Rage
                  P.O. Box 178
                  Hales Corners, WI 53130

    C. All dues and fees paid to Wisconsin Rage Inc. are non-refundable.

ORGANIZATION/TEAM POLICIES:
Everyone associated with the Rage Organization; including parents, siblings, grandparents, etc. are bound
by the associated league softball rules of decorum and etiquette. Our teams have a ZERO Tolerance policy.
Any behavior deemed unacceptable or inappropriate will be grounds for dismissal of that person. A second
occurrence by that athlete’s family or friends may cause the athlete to be dismissed from the team. In
addition to the expectation of proper behavior, decorum, and etiquette, the following additional guidelines
must be adhered to:

    • “Sideline coaching” by parents and family members will not be tolerated. This is a confusing
distraction and usually goes against the play called by the coaches. Additionally, it undermines a
Coach’s authority in front of the team. One warning will be issued, and any other occurrences will
be documented and forwarded to the Wisconsin Rage Board of Directors for disciplinary action
that may include possible expulsion from the organization.

    • Do not enter the dugout unless a coach requests your presence. Your child/player should not leave
the dugout unless a coach has granted permission. We do not want players wandering around
during games. USA rules do not allow any adults without certification into a team dugout.

Finally, we encourage everyone to get involved! The success of the organization is not in the hands of a
few – it lies with us all. Players are expected to attend all fundraising events. Parents are expected to
volunteer and participate as opportunities present themselves. We all have a lot of work to do all
throughout the year, and we have a lot of fun too. So sign up for some of our events and meet the other
families and help your team, coaches, and ultimately your daughters!
