• NZ’s first Zoo, founded in 1906

• Not-for-Profit Charitable Trust formed 2003

• Just under 100 staff, plus volunteers, contractors
  and students on site

• Over 500 animals in our care

• ≈ 250,000 visitors per year

• 365 day operation – only closed to visitors on
  Christmas Day.
