No girl wants to be molded according to another person’s whims. Why, then, do some Punjabi parents
send their daughters to bridal training schools, to have them turned into the ideal daughter-in-law?
Should a girl only feel worthy if she can speak English and cook international cuisine? Is marrying a rich,
well-travelled man the best thing that can happen to a girl? Does love have a place in a society that treats
their girls as fabric that can be sewn to fit another person’s desires?

personality. Meera is by no means a rebel, she simply refuses to abide by an unwritten code that sends
her into a life of misery.

New Show: Aap Ke Aa Jaane Se

Monday to Friday, 21:30

Age is nothing but a number – so goes a common adage.

A 24-year old man falls in love with a 42-year old woman, who has a daughter much closer to him in age.
He goes against his family, society’s boundaries and the ‘log kya kahe’* mentality that plagues so many
people.

This love story is by no means a bed of roses, as the two struggle to come to terms with their emotions,
and the expectations of their families.

*’log kya kahe’ can be translated as ‘what will people say?’ - a mentality that hinders people from following their
dreams, in fear of being judged by society.
