Connecting Link January 2021 When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? Psalm 56: 3-4 2020 was a year of fear: the pandemic, turmoil in many of our cities, turmoil in our government, and ‘learning a new way’ to do so many things. From meetings, to dr. appointments, to worship, and we did it! Fear is a human response, and has to be counteracted with trust. Where did you go for trust? Most of us went to our Lord. He will never fail us. Amen and Amen. But 2021 is a new year; hopefully we can use what we learned during our quiet time in 2020 to continue to be the feet and the hands of our Blessed Lord. So let’s get our vaccinations so that we can gather, and continue to strengthen each other. CT will be meeting February 13, 2021, the whole CT, at Martins Ferry First, to complete things for the Spring Gathering, work on the budget, and prepare a slate of Leader to vote on at the Spring Gathering, April 17, 2021 at Wintersville Two Ridges, (bring your mask, social distancing will be maintained).
Remember that Connecting Link you received last October in the large envelope? If you have not done so already, please get it out, see if you sent your pledge form to Judy Miller, if you have not met in person, please call you leaders and fill out this form and mail to Judy. Also in there was your History form in triplicate, this needs filled out now for the year 2020, one copy mailed to Mary McElroy, one to ARCHIVIST: JOHN BULOW CAMPBELL LIBRARY, COLUMBIA THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY, PO BOX 520, DECATUR, GA 3OO31, and the third one you keep for your records. The other job that needs completed at this time is your list of Leaders needed for the 2021-2022 UOVPW Directory, this sheet is included with this mailing, (many are keeping the same people for another year) but we were not able to print last year, so we really need to get this up to date. Fill out and mail to Mary McElroy, this contact information is essential to keeping Presbyterian Women alive.
