WELCOME TO PARIS

HOW TO GET THERE
Paris is one of Europe’s major centres of finance, commerce, fashion, science and the arts. It is classified as a UNESCO heritage site
and its culturally vibrant life flows along the Seine River. In recent years, Paris has set a new record - it claims the number one spot in
city rankings for international congresses.

Travelling by Air
There are direct flights to Paris from just about every country in the world. The French capital is connected to 557 cities in 132 countries
and handles 14’000 flights per week. Paris has two international airports: Charles de Gaulle Airport and Orly, both of which are about
45 minutes from the city centre.

Travelling by Rail
Paris can be reached by train in a matter of hours from elsewhere in France and all major European cities. Paris is the hub of an ex-
tensive and efficient rail network with connections to major European cities (London, Barcelona, Milan, Vienna, Berlin, Stockholm etc.)
on TGV, Thalys, Lyria and Eurostar trains. All 9 stations bring you directly into the heart of the city. They are situated in different areas
of Paris and are well connected to the public transport network. The city’s 16 metro and 5 RER commuter rail lines make it easy and
quick to get around Paris and its environs. The public transport network also comprises an extensive bus service and several tram lines.

                                                                                                                                           5

YOUR ONSITE JOURNEY DURING THE EADV CONGRESS

Collect your Name Badge and Abstract USB Stick
All participants should collect their name badge on arrival to the venue. The name badge serves as your ticket for booked activities and
access to the sessions. Please wear your identification badge visibly for the entire duration of the event; admission will not be permitted
without it. If you already have a QR coded registration voucher, please skip the queue and print your badge at the self-printing terminals
in the Registration Area. With your badge you will also find instructions on how to collect your Abstract USB Stick.

Collect CME-CPD Credits and Certificate
You can view and select your desired sessions from the online programme, via the App or the wall panel.
It is simple to attend the lectures and qualify for CME-CPD credits: just remember to scan your badge each time you enter a session
hall and complete the online evaluation. A speaker/session evaluation form will be available online and on the App shortly after the
session ends and should be completed before you download your CMD-CPD certificate. Certificates will be available for download
directly from https://www.eadv.org/scientific/cme/download-cme-credits. The EADV will not provide any CME-CPD credits for any
subspecialty society meetings or industry sponsored activities.
For conversion and processing of credits, please consult the national authority in your country of practice. EACCME credits are also
recognised by the American Medical Association.
Download of Certificates: Congress Attendance, e-Poster Authors and CME-CPD
All registered participants will be able to download their certificates from the EADV website based on their level of engagement:
•• A certificate of attendance is available for all registered participants who have a registration badge
•• A CME-CPD certificate is available for all participants who actively attended scientific sessions, scanned their badge and completed
   the online evaluations

NOTE TO HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND NON-HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

Article 86 in the EU directive 2001/83/EC lists the prohibition of advertising and promotion of prescription-only medicines to the gen-
eral public. These legal provisions are included in the country codes of conduct and guidelines for the promotion of medicines and we
therefore inform you that French laws, codes and regulations will be in full force and effect during the 27th EADV Congress in Paris.

Dispositions Deontologiques Professionnelle – Applicables aux Entreprises du Médicament Adhérentes du Leem

The European Accreditation Council for CME (EACCME)
https://www.uems.eu/areas-of-expertise/cme-cpd/eaccme
International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations (IFPMA)
https://www.ifpma.org/resource-centre/ifpma-code-of-practice/

These codes prohibit the advertising of prescription-only medicines to the general public, therefore only Healthcare Professionals may
be exposed to advertising for prescription-only products in Paris.

The French Drug Safety Compliance Committee (CODEEM) defines “Healthcare Professionals” as:
Any member of the medical, dental, pharmacy or nursing professions or any other person who in the course of his or her professional
activities may prescribe, recommend, purchase, supply or administer a pharmaceutical product.

As a multidisciplinary audience will be attending the Paris Congress, the EADV will assign different badges to Healthcare Professionals
(HCPs) and Non-Healthcare Professionals (NON-HCPs) to ensure compliance with the above regulations.

During the registration process, you will be asked to indicate whether you are a “Healthcare Professional” or not. Depending on the
status you have indicated on your registration form, you will receive either a “Healthcare Professional (HCP)” or “Non-Healthcare Pro-
fessional (NON-HCPs)” badge on your arrival to the venue.

Access to any industry sessions where data or research of prescription medicines is presented will be limited exclusively to Healthcare
Professionals (HCPs) only.

                                                                                                                                 7
