ADVANCE YOUR KNOWLEDGE CERTIFICATE IV IN BUSINESS (OPERATIONS) - BSB40120 Our 2021 WOMEN IN CLUB OPERATIONS Program is designed to advance your knowledge! Delivered over 12 months, this course will help propel you into a Management or a Senior role within the Club Industry. This course also provides a platform for you to create strong network ties with other women in the industry, hear from industry experts and help you develop crucial skills to help you navigate the Club Industry. Building on your existing skills and experience, this course covers information essential to Club Operations such as; Apply communication strategies Apply critical thinking to work practices Lead personal development Create and maintain business relationships Implement customer service strategies Manage personal health and wellbeing PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY There are no prerequisite requirements for this course. Consideration will be given to your academic and/or work experience. COURSE STRUCTURE This course is structured as a 12-month course that includes your attendance at 6 x 2-day workshops and the completion of workplace-based assessments. Upon successful completion of the course graduates will achieve a nationally recognised qualification in Certificate IV in Business (Operations) - BSB40120. ADVANCE YOUR KNOWLEDGE COURSE OUTLINE CERTIFICATE IV IN BUSINESS (OPERATIONS) - BSB40120 This qualification is tailored to women wanting to advance their leadership skills and empower the next generation. Individuals will develop their knowledge, critical thinking and self-development skills to learn how to manage teams effectively and lead dynamic workplace relationships. At completion of the course, individuals will feel prepared to use complex procedures and strategies, at their own discretion, to make appropriate business decisions. Leadership in the workplace is all about fostering a collaborative, positive culture by bridging the gap between management and team members. ADVANCE YOUR KNOWLEDGE COURSE OUTLINE CERTIFICATE IV IN BUSINESS (OPERATIONS) - BSB40120 QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Total number of units - 12 6 Core units + 6 Elective units - Unit selection based on the needs of the club industry SESSION 1: CLASSROOM BSBWHS411 Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs This unit aims to teach students how to effectively implement and monitor an organisation’s work health and safety (WHS) policies, procedures and programs. Individuals will learn about the importance of complying with legislation and government policies. Relevant skills developed in this unit include analysing information, creative problem solving and communication. BSBWRT411 Write complex documents This unit develops an individual’s ability to plan, draft and finalise complex documents. Individuals will enhance basic literacy, language, management and attention to detail skills. At completion of the unit, individuals will feel prepared to analyse information sources and deliver high-calibre, quality documents. SESSION 2: CLASSROOM BSBPEF403 Lead personal development This unit provides individuals with the appropriate knowledge and skillset for personal development and conscious decision- making. In this unit there is particular emphasis on setting goals, social awareness, making informed decisions and executing strategy to achieve personal growth. The ability to enhance ones’ own and others development will deem practical for all disciplines, and such ambitious qualities will benefit individuals in life beyond the learning environment. BSBOPS404 Implement customer service strategies This unit develops individual’s knowledge about management strategies and systems to ensure products/services are delivered to an exceptional standard. At completion of the unit individuals will be competent to utilise systems, procedures and strategies to manage exceptional customer service. SESSION 3: CLASSROOM BSBTEC404 Use digital technologies to collaborate in a work environment This unit addresses advanced concepts about technology enabling collaboration and learning in the workplace. Individuals will learn about approaches to dealing with workplace challenges, such as the timely challenge of working in remote teams. The unit covers reviewing an organisation’s processes, identifying opportunities for better use of digital technologies, and employing strategies to complete tasks more effectively and efficiently. BSBMKG433 Undertake marketing activities This unit introduces individuals to key business marketing concepts and strategies. At completion of the unit, individuals be competent to apply their learnings to their work roles, realising their potential to increase an organisation’s ability to achieve key performance indicators

It covers the skills and knowledge required to identify signs of strain on personal health and wellbeing, including both physical and mental, and how best to manage such challenges. Knowledge of organisational policies, relevant legislation and emotional intelligence skills are developed. BSBCRT411 Apply critical thinking to work practices This unit aims to teach the fundamentals of critical thinking and reasoning in the workplace. Critical thinking skills are invaluable across all disciplines and will benefit individuals in workplace contexts and in life beyond the learning environment. SESSION 5: CLASSROOM BSBOPS402 Coordinate business operational plans This unit introduces individuals to key business operation concepts and strategies. The skills required to gather information, develop, monitor and implement operational plans will be developed in this unit. Individuals will apply their learnings to their work roles, realising their potential to increase an organisation’s productivity and profitability. They will feel prepared to execute operation plans by applying their planning, evaluation, problem solving and leadership skills. BSBTWK401 Build and maintain business relationships This unit introduces individuals to the tools of self-reflection in respect to understanding how to best lead workplace relationships. Networking, negotiating and creative problem solving are some of the aspects examined in this unit. Individuals will advance their analytical, evaluation and communication skills to make informed recruitment decisions. This unit will prepare leader to evaluate and maximise teamwork efforts.
