Following to the big success of ISIS in 2012 and ISIP in 2015 once more a CCD&O
Symposium will take place in 2018 in Bad Reichenhall, close to the center of excellence
for indirect protection, the WTD 52, Oberjettenberg. ISIP 2018 follows a tradition of
more than 40 years of symposia on camouflage, concealment and deception. The
Bundeswehr Technical Center for Protective and Special Technologies (WTD 52) in
Oberjettenberg is tasked by the German Ministry of Defense to organize ISIP 2018 in
Bad Reichenhall for the fifth time.
During four days the four main topics of the symposium will be discussed, enabling the
participants to learn more about recent developments and discoveries in camouflage,
concealment, deception, jamming and obscurants. This event will bring you the
opportunity to exchange knowledge with leading international experts and managers
and the latest camouflage technologies and exhibits from international institutions and
manufacturers will be shown.

Language
The ISIP Symposium in Bad Reichenhall is an international Symposium. Guests from
NATO countries are invited as well as guests from other partner nations.
The conference language is German. A simultaneous translation service for English to
German and vice-versa will be available during the presentations. Therefore,
presentations can be given in English as well as in German.
Benefits from attending ISIP
ISIP is a valuable forum for information exchange on future technologies concerning
indirect protection. ISIP offers discussions on the future perspectives and developments
of indirect protection. You have the chance to meet the international expertise of indirect
protection and the possibility to talk to representatives of international companies and
institutions during ISIP 2018 in the exhibition hall.
Attendants will get:
• an abstract book with additional information about ISIP 2018
• an ISIP 2018 symposium - CD containing approved presentations
• the possibility for exhibitors to give a short presentation of their exhibits

Future threats:
Session 1 covers new reconnaissance technologies, requirements according to
operational and technical expertise, and experience from theater.
Session 2:
Stealth systems and materials for air, ground and naval applications:
Session 2 deals with fielded as well as with future materials and systems for platforms,
equipment and personnel.
Session 3:
Simulation & Modelling, Measurement, Analysis:
This session deals with state-of-the art and future capabilities for signature simulation
and modelling, measurement systems, tools and camouflage assessment.
Session 4:
New camouflage technologies:
This session covers all kinds of new technologies for all relevant climatic regions and
spectral ranges.

Request for visit
Please ensure that Visit Clearance Requests are submitted via your usual government
to government channels, clearly marked to be sent to Bundeswehr Technical Center for
Protective and Special Technologies (WTD 52) Security Officer approximately 45 days
prior ISIP 2018.
The Visit Clearance Request must come through YOUR NATIONAL EMBASSY.
Employees of NATO agencies and organizations must also send their Visit Clearance
Request through their national channel. WTD 52 Security Officer will not accept
requests faxed directly from NATO agency security office. You will also be required to
present your passport for entry to the Symposium.

The exhibition lots are 6sqm or 12sqm. The registration of an exhibition lot does not
automatically include the attendance of the symposium. Please note that all exhibition
personal has to be registered as auditor or author as well.
Our staff cannot accept deliveries of exhibition material. Therefore, the exhibitor has to
accept his delivery himself. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide support for set up
and removal of exhibition materiel.

Contributions
Contributions are invited on the following topics and those related to them:
• Threats from new sensor technologies, resulting requirements
• Lessons learned from theatre
• Signature management
• Signature simulation and modelling
• Camouflage evaluation
• Camouflage material
• Measurement and analysis techniques
• Stealth technologies, Low observability
• New camouflage technologies
Authors are invited to submit papers on any of the main topics for
consideration by the Program Committee. Submission of other related
topics will also be considered. Abstracts of about 300 - 500 words (in
electronic form) should be provided by June 6th 2018.
Abstract
