OVERVIEW

Effective from 6pm Sunday, 31 January 2021 until 6pm Friday, 5 February, the Perth metropolitan area and the Peel and
South West regions entered a 5-day lockdown, based on health advice.

Pending no further local cases, the five-day lockdown for the Perth, Peel and South West regions will end as planned.

From 6pm, Friday 5 February the following comes into effect:
• Perth and Peel will enter into a post-lockdown transition period until 12.01am, Sunday 14 February. This allows the
  full 14-day incubation period to run its course
• South West will return straight to pre-lockdown conditions.
WA OUT OF LOCKDOWN RESTRICTIONS (AS AT 6PM, FRIDAY 5 FEBRUARY, 2021)
The following restrictions apply for the OUT OF LOCKDOWN period (until 12.01am Sunday 14 February):

The post-lockdown transition period for Perth and Peel includes:
• Wearing a mask when in public and while at work, unless exempt or for vigorous outdoor exercise
• All businesses can reopen, except for the casino and nightclubs
• 4 square meter capacity rule in place for businesses and venues, up to a maximum of 150
• 150-person capacity at all events including weddings, funerals and community sport
• Seated service only at hospitality venues
• Dancing only permitted at weddings and dance studios
• 20-person limit for private indoor and outdoor gatherings
• Visits to aged care and disability care facilities restricted to compassionate grounds
• Residential school and boarding facilities can resume with a COVID Safety Plan
• Only essential travel permitted in and out of the Perth and Peel regions to other parts of WA.

PERTH HOCKEY STADIUM - VENUE ACCESS

Perth Hockey Stadium will be open for the under 15’s and 18’s trials this weekend, from:

    From Saturday, 6 February 2021 to Sunday, 7 February 2021

The venue will be split into two separate areas – PHS 1 and PHS 2. On arrival, patrons must go to their designated area
to check in and register.

In compliance with the State Government’s Out of Lockdown plan, anyone in attendance at Hockey WA and Perth
Hockey Stadium, will need to adhere to the plan and procedures outlined in this document.

PERTH HOCKEY STADIUM – VENUE ENTRY & PRECAUTIONS

VENUE ACCESS & PRECAUTIONS
• On arrival to the venue, it is mandatory to check-in digitally via the SafeWA app or contact register provided.
  Individuals could face penalties if they fail to check in.

• HWA staff members will be positioned at the main entry gates to each turf to make sure protocols are followed and
  to advise and guide people appropriately.

• QR codes will be displayed all over the venue, including the main entry gates.

• Extra hand sanitizer will be provided to use as you enter and move around the venue.

• The dugouts will be off limits except to place equipment in the designated area marked in front of them.

• Players and parents must leave the venue immediately the trials have concluded.

• Bar and café facilities will be closed due to risks.

• No underground rooms will be available, including changerooms and toilets.

• PHS 1 will use the toilets located in the bar and PHS 2 till use those located in the grand stand.
PERTH HOCKEY STADIUM – MASKS AND EQUIPMENT

MASKS
• Masks are to be worn at ALL times during attendance at PHS. This includes all staff, spectators, coaches, umpires,
  technical officials, selectors, players 12 years and over, and ground staff.

• ONLY those playing and children under 12 years old are exempt from wearing a mask.

*Please note: Hockey WA will not be providing masks. It is up to attendees to provide them and wear them or they will
not be permitted into the venue.

EQUIPMENT
• Only essential equipment will be allowed onto the playing surface.

• All bags to remain at top area and players are only allowed to take essential equipment to the turf.

• There will be a spot marked out for personal equipment taken onto the turf, which will be located in front of the
  dugout.
PHYSICAL DISTANCING

Hockey WA staff will require that all the following observe the requirement to distance themselves from each other
according to the rules set out by the WA Government:

• Non-athletes

• Hockey WA staff

• Coaches

• Umpires,

• Technical officials,

• Selectors,

• Players 12 years and over, and

• Ground staff attending the venue,
TRAINING & EDUCATION

Hockey WA will ensure that all staff, players and other patrons are fully informed regarding the protocols about Under
15’s and 18’s trials taking place at Perth Hockey Stadium. Strategies will include (but not be limited to):

• COVID Plan document being shared with all stakeholders (including but not limited to, Curtin University, Department
  of Local Government Sport and Cultural Industries and WAPOL).

• Email Communication to all staff.
RESPONSE PLANNING

• Hockey WA require that all persons accessing Perth Hockey Stadium sign in using the SafeWA Application or fill out
  the contact register provided.

• Cleaning procedures for all areas will be strictly adhered to.

• In the event of a positive COVID-19 test being reported, Hockey WA will advise all relevant authorities and implement
  a detailed cleaning of the whole venue. Persons who have been in contact with any outbreak will be required to
  follow the relevant authorities' medical advice and procedures.
COMPLIANCE

Hockey WA are aware that in addition to the legal obligations arising from the Emergency Management Act 2005 and
the Directions made under that Act, they must continue to comply with relevant existing legislation and regulations,
including WorkSafe legislation.
