2021 Partnership Opportunities
Local businessman Alex Alexander and cartoonist Johnny Hart probably never would have imagined that what began as a 1-day Satellite Tournament on the PGA TOUR would be thriving 50 years later as one of the premiere events on the PGA TOUR Champions. This June we look to celebrate 50 years of professional golf, 50 years of charitable giving and 50 years of an economic impact to Central New York…and we look forward to another 50 years!

Charity: Making an Impact The DICK’S Sporting Goods Open is operated by Broome County Community Charities, Inc. (BCCC) and has donated over $18.2 million back to charity. Broome Charities’ initial mission focused the 501(c)(3)’s funding toward health care related organizations with the intent to assist the greatest number of people within our community. Both the UHS Foundation and Lourdes Hospital Foundation have been primary recipients of annual donations made by Broome County Community Charities, Inc. since its inception. Additionally, BCCC annually makes charitable donations to those Civic Organizations which assist in the operation of the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open. Broome County Community Charities has also been instrumental in funding intermittent community projects such as the remodeling of the Boys & Girls Club and the construction of a Community Meeting Hall at the Endicott Visitor’s Center. Contributions are a result of partnerships with DICK’S Sporting Goods, PGA TOUR Inc., and the PGA TOUR Champions Players. Additional proceeds are derived from the DICK’S Sporting Goods Open and the Walk to Defeat ALS.
