THE EVENT Badminton Horse Trials will take place from Wednesday Thursday and Friday where visitors can enjoy expert 4th to Sunday 8th May 2022. The event is staged within dressage displays on both days at around 12:30. PARKING AND ADMISSION Admission charges (admission for children 12 years & under free - no ticket required) The price of admission includes the use of unreserved arena seating only throughout the dressage days (Thursday & Friday) and the cross country day (Saturday). However, in order to watch the jumping (Sunday) grandstand tickets also need to be purchased for both adults and children (N.B: These grandstand tickets usually sell out in advance). CARS, MINIBUSES, COACHES and PERSONAL ADMISSION (Admission for children 12 years and under free - no ticket required) A vehicle pass does not include personal admission for the driver (less coach drivers). See PRICE LIST for further details. COACHES (25 seater plus) Coaches (25 seater plus) will be directed to the Coach Park. A Vehicle pass (please see price list) and a personal admission ticket will be required for all occupants. (No charge for coach drivers). Children 12 years and under are free. CAMPING SITE (open Tuesday 3 rd May - Monday 9 th May) Also see Price list. Caravans; Motorhomes; Live-in Horseboxes; Tents: A Campsite Pitch Pass admits either a motorhome, horsebox, caravan or tent to the Camping Site. A “Campsite/Season Public” car pass will also be issued which will give a car access to the Camping Site and Public Car Parks. All passes must be purchased in advance and all vehicles entering the Camping Site must bear the relevant pass. (Only vehicles bearing campsite passes will be admitted to the Camping Site even in the evening.) Additional Campsite/ Season Public car pass(es) only available to those booking or having booked a Camping Site. Sites will be allocated according to pitch size (see Price List). All items, e.g. caravan, tent, car, awning, etc. must fit within the pitch, with the exception of an “additional car” which may be sited nearby. MEMBERS’ MEMBERS’ ENCLOSURE ENCLOSURE sponsored by Hospitality Disabled Car Park Car Park West Stand The Members’ Enclosure will be open Scoreboard Wednesday to Sunday inclusive and is Members’ Main Warm-Up Area conveniently situated on the south side of Enclosure the Main Arena, close to the Scoreboard, the Arena Event Office and adjacent to the north end of Portcullis the Tradestands. Club The tented Club offers the perfect place East Stand to meet friends. The catering facilities are intended to be of high quality but to meet the Trade Stands requirements of all - a full elegant luncheon or a quick snack or drink can be purchased. N Lakeside Pavilions Saturday’s cross-country course will again start and finish in the main arena, where the first and last fences will also be sited. Tables may be reserved in advance only for the duration of a meal and not specifically in front of the closed-circuit televisions. For ‘all day’ tables, please book in the Portcullis Club. Closed-circuit televisions will show the event action continuously, while the garden enclosure outside the marquee gives a partial view of the main arena. Toilets for the use of Members and guests only are situated in the Enclosure. N.B. Weds: Snacks and drinks only will be served and no action will be shown on the closed-circuit televisions. (Members are advised that grandstand seats will give a better view of Sunday’s show jumping than the inevitably crowded garden enclosure.) Members’ Enclosure Admission Badges may be purchased via the Badminton Box Office. It is also possible to book a Lunch inclusive Membership option which includes a two-course buffet Lunch with table reservation for the duration of a meal only and not specifically in front of the closed-circuit televisions. Patrons will be able to use the facility throughout the day and may book either individual places or tables for 8/10 guests and while every effort will be made to accommodate requests, exclusive use of tables for fewer than 8 persons cannot be guaranteed. DRESS CODE Smart casual or countrywear is appropriate. In particular, sensible walking shoes are strongly recommended or wellies if wet!! DOGS While dogs are welcome at Badminton, they must be kept on a lead, and are not permitted in the grandstands nor the Badminton Members’ Enclosure sponsored by WEATHERBYS HAMILTON nor the Portcullis Club nor any other restaurant and should not be left in cars. Any distressed dogs will be removed from vehicles by the R.S.P.C.A./Police. For reasons of hygiene and health, please do not allow dogs to foul areas around tradestands or other public places; if they do, please clear up after them using the bags provided. (Assistance Dogs only will be admitted to the Members’ Enclosure and other restaurants). SUSTAINABILITY DON'T FORGET YOUR REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLE & CUP Drinking water points are located around the central area so please bring a refillable water bottle.
