ST. MARY CEMETERY FALL CLEAN UP TIME TO PREPARE FOR WINTER.
It is our responsibility and mission, after we have provided the corporal work of mercy of burying our love ones, to keep and
maintain the consecrated cemetery and sacred ground in honorable memory of all who are buried there with dignity and
compassion.
We are asking everyone who has placed flowers or decorations in honor and memory of a loved one to please remove
everything prior to our Fall clean up by Friday, October 26.
On Saturday, October 27, 9.00 am., everyone is invited to come to St. Mary Cemetery to help clean up our cemetery and
prepare it for winter.
Requests are same as last Spring: Please bring rakes, shovels, blowers, weed whippers, gloves and mainly yourself. We will
provide water and lunch. If you are interested and know you will be able to help please call 263-4681 ext. 5 and leave your name,
or just show up and help, all are welcome and appreciated.
For Future Reference:
Flags may be placed by the gravestone for Veteran’s Day any time after November 1.
Christmas wreaths, Grave blankets and Christmas decorations may be placed on the graves any time after November 11. 2018.
As you visit the cemetery, please remember that every tombstone has a story, no matter what age the buried person was. The
tombstones and grave sites are a reminder that our ordinary lives, have an opportunity to live an extra ordinary mission. It is
humbling to see the care and visiting respect given to family members and friends who have passed on to eternal life. How
honored the buried are to have so many that take the time to share, reflect and visit them to keep their memory alive.
When decorating around the 40” top of the grave sites, please keep your decorations within the grave space or Headstone
Markers, not to exceed 38” around the stone and as close to the stone as possible. It would be appreciated that all Shepard
Hooks are secured, so they do not fall into the mowing and walking paths, and on other people’s graves. As in the past, all
decorations must be of good taste and be maintained and displayed properly.
Thank You and God Bless All of you who care for and visit our cemetery.
