A new look to open-air driving.
The dihedral doors are an iconic design feature on every McLaren. As
well as making it easier to get in and out, these intricate doors guide
air into the side intakes to feed the radiators.
Behind the cockpit, two protective buttresses remain in position
whether the roof is up or down. An extended rear spoiler adds extra
downforce at higher speeds, keeping performance and handling at
the same high level as the Coupé.
Despite the advanced mechanism that makes the roof completely
disappear into the car, 52 litres of luggage space is available at the
rear when the roof is up. Another 150 litres is available at the front,

The forged alloy wheels shown here have been specially designed for
the Spider. Lightweight and extra strong, they’re supplied with
high-grip Pirelli P Zero™ Corsa tyres to deliver even faster cornering,
improved traction and better braking.
But perhaps the first and last design element other drivers will notice
is the McLaren speedmark. Both the high-intensity LED headlights
and the slimline LED tail lights are fashioned in the shape of this
distinctive McLaren symbol.

Designed around you.
An unintended benefit of the 570S Spider is that more
people can appreciate the elegant interior when the
roof is down. It features the finest hand-stitched
leather, satin-chrome highlights and a ‘floating’ centre
console. The advanced touchscreen displays crisp LCD
graphics configured in line with adaptive driving
modes.
As eye-catching as it is, the interior follows McLaren’s
design philosophy of ‘Everything for a reason’. Controls
are positioned for maximum ease of use and minimum
distraction. This exquisite and uncluttered interior is
designed for pure driving engagement.
A seven-inch McLaren IRIS touchscreen accesses the

intuitive infotainment system. Tap and sweep to
control your settings, from satellite navigation to
climate control, from voice activation to optional
rear-view camera.
For enhanced sound beyond the standard audio
system, McLaren has collaborated with audio experts
Bowers & Wilkins to produce a 12-speaker surround
system optimised for the 570S Spider. This optional
upgrade is driven by a 14-channel 1280W amplifier and
produces crystal clear music that’s true to life.

More responsive.
One of the many McLaren technologies the Sports
Series shares with its Formula 1™ cousins is its carbon
fibre construction. The MonoCell II weighs just 75kg,
yet its immense rigidity and strength means that –
unlike most other convertibles – the 570S Spider
requires no additional stiffening of the chassis.
The twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre McLaren engine
delivers a smooth surge of torque over a broad rev
range and a class-leading 570PS. Combined with the
lightweight construction, this gives the 570S Spider
an outstanding power-to-weight ratio.
The 570S Spider stops as impressively as it
accelerates. Carbon ceramic brakes fitted with
6-piston calipers at the front and four-pistons at the
Lighter. Stronger.
More responsive

All Sports Series models are equally at home in the
city as on a dynamic Alpine roadway. And if the desire
takes you, the car is well equipped for the thrill of the
track. The Active Dynamics Panel lets you select the

accordingly – from a (relatively) sedate drive in town
to an adrenalin-fuelled lap.
