DAY 01 Arrival (-)
Welcome to Luang Prabang the perfect destination to travel in south East-Asia with family, you will
avoid the stress of the traffic, en you will enjoy the proximity of the surrounding nature. Short walking
orientation tour with degustation of Fresh Coconut (transfer by Tuk Tuk is optional).

DAY 02 Tuk Tuk Discovery & Kids Natural Dyes Class (B)
The tuk tuk (a motorized-rickshaw) was brought to South East Asia in 1934 from Japan, and has since
then become an icon of the region. They’re one of most popular forms of transportation in Laos, this
is the perfect vehicle for an open-air tour of Luang Prabang.
Starting from your hotel at 8:00, we’ll drive to the open-air Morning Market in the old town. Your
guide will explain the common vegetables and fruits that are in season and pick up some snacks for
later.
From there you’ll take a short ride through more of the picturesque town to Wat Xieng Thong. This
is the most important temple in Luang Prabang and one of the most important temples in the entire
country.
We’ll end the day’s tour atop Phou Si Hill. From the top, you can see panoramic views of the
surrounding town, the meeting of two rivers, and the curve of the Mekong as flows into and around
the town.
You will spend the afternoon at Ock Pop Tok set in a tropical Mekong garden. The Kids Natural Dyes
Class is an introduction to silkworms and silk types. In this class, you will have our hands on

experience with natural dye preparation, choose from dyeing your own indigo scarf, or tie-dyeing a
t-shirt using a variety of patterns. (Class specially design for kids).

DAY 03 Nature and Tree Top Walk (B)
This morning we’ll leave Luang Prabang for a day of
Nature and Soft Adventure. After a 30 min drive in the
countryside with stunning view of the valley you will
reach Nahm Dong Waterfalls. Here you will start the visit
of the organic garden, then get setup for more action
with a Tree Top Walk or a Zip-Lines excursion where you
can enjoy forest views, beautiful scenery and waterfalls.
We will get back to the hotel in the afternoon.

DAY 04 Buffalo Dairy & Kuang Si Waterfalls (B)
Get a glimpse of the real Laotian daily life with a visit to the bustling and chaotic local market, Phousi
Market.
Travel by car to reach the Buffalo Dairy, here you will join a tour through the mini farm, meet and
cuddle our buffalo, try your hand on milking demonstration. Note that the Buffalo may be the stars
of the show but playful pigs, cheeky chickens and rollicking rabbits are also plenty of fun for the
young and young at heart! Before leaving get tented by some homemade ice cream.

We continue to our main highlight of the day, the multi-tiered turquoise-colored Kuang Si Waterfall,
deemed one of the most beautiful waterfalls in South-east Asia. Here you can also visit the Bears
Rescue Centre to see Asiatic bears rescued from illegal poaching and trading.

DAY 05 Meet the Giants (B,L)
Laos was once named “Lang Xang” the Land of a Million
Elephants. Sadly the number of elephant has drop
around 1,000 as today. This why Mandalao initiate a
non-riding experience focused on education and
elephant welfare.
Join us for a ½ day experience and discover the
Mandalao Elephant Centre and his giants. Welcome to
an idyllic holiday destination in the Land of the Asian
Elephant!
With your support they intent to preserve domesticated elephants and those who are still in the wild.

DAY 06 Ban Chan Pottery Tour (B,L)
Ban Chan Village has been making pottery for centuries,
but that way of life is slowly fading away. Our hope is to
use these tours to preserve the tradition of our village
and provide a sustainable way of life for community.
Through this pottery tour we hope to bring you into
contact with these people, their culture, their history,
and much more. Starting with a short Tuk Tuk drive to
the boat pier, we’ll ride south on the Mekong and
disembark at Ban Chan Village. We’ll explore this village
and the pottery center, during which your guide will
share his story and the story of this village. Afterwards,
you will get a hand-ons experience with pottery making, led by Lao pottery experts. We’ll end the
tour with a Lao traditional meal before transferring back to Luang Prabang.
