Township Police Accepting
Unused Prescription Drugs
The Township Police Department has installed a permanent Med-Return
Drug Collection Unit in its first floor reception area at 98 S. Enola Dr.
Residents can dispose of excess and expired prescription drugs and over-
the-counter medications in the special container. Liquids, needles and aerosol
cans are not accepted. Labels can be removed from the prescription contain-
ers.
The collection area is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday
through Friday. Drugs can be dropped off
with no questions asked.

Slight Increase in 2020 Taxes
Under the 2020 spending plan approved by Township Commissioners
township property owners will see a slight increase in municipal real estate
tax rates for 2020. The millage rate will increase from the 1.10 to 1.30 mills,
which means the owner of a home assessed at $100,000 will pay $130.00 per
year instead of the $110.00 previously billed.

The Historical Society of East Pennsboro (HSEP), in partnership with the
East Pennsboro Township Commissioners and Management, are undertaking the
renovation of the Pennsylvania RR Caboose located at Adams-Ricci Park. Due to
harsh weather conditions and some vandalism, the caboose is in need of repair.
We are asking residents and friends to help in this project by making monetary
donations to support a submission of a grant proposal. The proposal will address
the restoration of the Caboose interior and exterior, which will involve metal
cleaning and painting. Also, various displays will be developed highlighting the
history of the Enola RR Yard.
