High Holy Days Seating at Adath Israel

As the summer winds down thoughts turn to the High Holy Days. Already the Seating
Committee is hard at work to ensure that all who wish to attend services have a spot.
With many new members joining us this year, we thought it would be a perfect time to
review how seating works at Adath Israel.
Seating at Adath Israel is assigned.
Existing members are assigned the seats they held last year unless they contact the
office to change. If you are an existing member and need to adjust the number of seats
you need for the coming year or their location, please contact the office.
If you are a new member, no seats will be assigned to you unless you contact the office
and request them. Please be sure to let us know the number of seats you need and if
anyone in your party has special needs.
Seats are not included in your membership contribution.
New members receive complimentary seats equal to the number of members listed on
their membership application for the first year. Additional seats are $50/seat for the
season. Existing members are charged $50/seat.
How to find your seat.
In the foyer of the Main Sanctuary will be maps of each floor with the member family’s
name indicating each seat. Ushers will be waiting to help you find your spot(s). In
addition each seat has a name tag.
We do not issue paper tickets.
Instead we use your name on the map.
Adath Israel honors reciprocal seating.
Guests who are members in good standing at a synagogue and contribute toward High
Holy Days seating either through direct payment or as part of their membership
contribution are welcome to join us as at no additional cost. Please contact the office for
details.
College students are welcome as our guests. Upon ar r ival, please contact an usher
who will arrange seating for you.
For more information please contact the Office.
