2022 Dear ACCRW Ladies April 2022
OFFICERS
Suzanne Tallman
Mothers come to our meetings and enjoy visiting, gaining
President
encouragement just by being with us. But sometimes you
apologize and feel that you are not sufficiently
Anne Pede contributing, knowing that the amount of work needed to
1st Vice President
win elections and to ensure a righteous and just nation is
overwhelming.
TBD
2nd Vice President
David addressed this issue in I Samuel 30:21-25. The
army went to war but some got exhausted and couldn’t
Kim Isaac continue. After winning the war, some warriors
Recording Secretary complained that those who didn’t participate in the final
battle should not be rewarded. David (he had not yet
Mary Wright been crowned King) totally disagreed, reminding them
Corresponding that is God who gives the victory, and that “those who
Secretary stayed with the supplies… will share alike.”
Martha O’Bryant We know some of you are exhausted. You do what you
Treasurer can. But understand that by just coming to the meetings,
you encourage us all! If you can do more, we would
Jennifer Railing welcome the help – but if not – than please just come
Co-Historian and cheer us on! We are so glad to share a meal and a
smile with you all!

The 67th annual Lincoln Day Dinner was held on February
18, 2022, at the Aspire Hotel. This event is one of the most
important in the year hosted by the Council and was once again
a huge success. The Young Marines did a wonderful job
posting the colors and leading us in the Pledge of Allegiance
and Mylinda Beatty and Peggy Zuniga of the Aspire Hotel
graced us with a beautiful rendition of the Star-Spangled
Banner. We were honored to have Congressman John Joyce
lead us in the blessing before the meal.
Mr. Lou Barletta, former US Representative for Pennsylvania’s 11th
Congressional district from 2011 to 2019 and a current gubernatorial candidate
was the guest speaker for the evening. Also addressing the guests was Stacy
Garrity, Treasurer of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
A number of candidates with high Primary Election hopes attended the
dinner. Guests were able to spend time talking with the prospective candidates
and signing their petitions to appear on the ballot.
The evening was capped off with the announcement of the lucky winners of
the silent auction.
Thank you to Martha O’Bryant and her committee for a very successful
evening!

Meet the Candidate
The Council received an invitation from Tripwire Operations Group to
attend a Dave McCormick ‘Meet and Greet’ on Monday, April 4, 2022. A few of
our members were able to attend and have the chance to talk with Dave and
hear about his hopes and plans should he win the May primary.
Dave was very engaging and brings strong conservative credentials to the
race for Senate, as do many of the other candidates.

Ladies don’t put those Easter bonnets with all the frills
upon them back in the hatbox (I’m really dating myself)
too soon! You must wear them to the next ACCRW
meeting on Thursday April 21st. Once again we will be
looking to award the “Grandest Lady” a prize…maybe
even write a sonnet about your bonnet! ;>)
From Suzanne Bryson:
Attention Crafters: We need someone to
create about 50 “party favors” for this year’s
Christmas Luncheon, in December. In the
past, we have had 4 oz. Homemade jellies,
small candles, sachets, and scented hand
scrubs. This year, it can be totally different….
whatever you want! We look forward to seeing
your hidden talents! If you have any questions,
contact Suzanne Bryson at 717-337-9134, or
suzannne.bryson77@gmail.com . Thanks!
