                                                                         provide a wide array of recreational opportunities within
                                                                         our beautiful city.
                                              With more than $1 billion in new and planned development in Allentown in
                                              the past few years, we continue to grow and expand each season, bringing
                                              new buildings, unique public spaces, and expanded businesses.
                                              Allentown boasts a world-class parks system, from the pristine and
                                              peaceful Trexler Park to the running and walking oasis in Lehigh Parkway,
                                              to the popular and bustling Cedar Beach Park.
                                              Be sure to mark your calendars for Allentown’s signature annual events,
                                              including fireworks at the city’s 4th of July Celebration, Mayfair Festival
                                              of the Arts at Cedar Crest College, the Blues, Brews & BBQ street festival
                                              downtown, the Classics & Cruisers on Hamilton car show,

                                                boasts a number of sport courts and fields available by
                                                reservation for use for pickup games, organized sport
                                                leagues and tournaments. Please reach out to the Parks &
                                                Recreation Office at 610-437-7750 for more information.
                                                Rose Garden Weddings: There are no reservations for the
                                                Rose Garden. If you arrive and there is another party being
                                                married or photographed, please wait for them to conclude
                                                their ceremony before beginning yours. For more information
                                                on the Rose Garden, please visit www.allentownpa.gov/parks.
                                                Lil-Le-Hi Trout Nursery, 2902 Fish Hatchery Rd.
                                                Hours of Operation: 7:00am – Dusk (7 days a week)

            Registration is easy! Go to the nearest playground, school or park
            during program hours on or after Monday, June 17. Throughout
            the summer, children actively participate in basketball, flag
            football, tennis, bowling, kickball, soccer, softball, swimming,
            wiffleball, arts and crafts, and environmental education, all of
            which are supervised by playground instructors. Children also
            have an opportunity to participate in an end of the year field trip to
            Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom and participate in the 106th
            Annual Romper Day Celebration at J. Birney Crum Stadium on
            Monday, August 5 at 7:00pm.

            Participants who attend the playgrounds daily are eligible to
