Welcome to Alstonville High School
• P&C are responsible for the oversight and supply of
  uniforms at AHS.

• We say to all parents/guardians and carers, well done for
  encouraging your child to wear the uniform.

• We say to all students, be loud and proud when in
  uniform. You come along each day to a fabulous school
  and we hope your experience here makes you want
  everyone to know, which school you are part of!

Students are
                        • Confused about uniform
                        • Wearing a range of clothing
                          that works for them
                        • Being penalised or
                          reprimanded for being out of
                          uniform
                    Teachers are
                        • Confused about uniform
                        • Penalising or reprimanding
                          students for being out of
                          uniform
                        • Getting frustrated
                    Parents are
                        • Confused about uniform
                        • Allowing children to wear a
                          range of clothing that works
                          for them

• Supply will be via The School Locker Store
            • At AHS (current location)
            • In the Ballina store (Harvey Norman
              complex)
            • On-line ordering and delivery (direct to
Supply        home or to school for collection)
         • Online store is open and available now
            • order and pay online
            • choose delivery to school for pickup, or
              to home

• Junior polos - unisex, maroon with grey &

                • Senior polos - unisex, white with maroon and
                  grey

Everyday tops   • Senior & Junior girls will still have current
                  white shirts
                • Seniors can still wear white shirts
                   • boys AND girls may wear regular white
                     formal shirts (i.e., with collar & button
                     through, with or without a logo)

Current formal white shirts will continue

We will continue with the
                    current skirts but with a
Skorts and Skirts   slightly different design
                    • More shaped around hips
                    • 2-3cm longer
                    • Style of the current senior
                      skirt (pleats in front not on
                      side)
                    • Elasticised waistband
                    • Maroon for seniors
                    • Checks for juniors
                    We will also have a black
                    skort option

Warm tops
• School hoodies, spray jackets,
  grey wool jumpers, zip front and
  sloppy joes may all be worn
• CHS sports and AIME hoodies are
  acceptable
• Other colours or big logos or any
  other decoration are not
  acceptable
• Undershirts may be white, grey
  or black

Current warm top options will be reduced over time (as stock is sold
            out) to the spray jacket and hoodie only

Long & short pants

• The currently supplied grey shorts (microfibre,
  light and dark grey) are all acceptable
• Also acceptable are:
    • black shorts, which are mid-thigh length
      and loose fitting (e.g., like soccer shorts)
      and
    • black or dark grey trackpants.
• The new uniform will include
  • BLACK microfiber sports shorts (unisex, mid-
    thigh length)
  • BLACK tracksuit pants (Unisex easy fit)

Formal Uniform
     to be worn by representative students
with blazer, formal white shirt and tie (optional)

TSL have a range of
  generic hats –
    if maroon,
they are ok to wear

Shoes & Socks
• Closed black shoes
• Black or white socks

• A broad range of shoes are
  available from The School
  Locker price range $38-$148
