Andy Porterfield Memorial US Majors Tour Auto Club Speedway January 15-17, 2021 Welcome to the first West Coast Majors event for 2021, a critical points gathering event for those planning on attending the 2021 SCCA Runoffs at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. This event is hosted by the Cal Club Region of the Sports Car Club of America. Cal Club has dedicated this yearly kick-off event to the memory of Andy Porterfield, a critical parts of Cal Club’s past success and a key player in National SCCA history. As the Race Chairman, I’d like to offer up some information that may make your visit to Auto Club a bit easier. If there are any questions, concerns, suggestions - before, during, or after, please let me know. Again, I am here to make your weekend the best it can be. Auto Club resides in San Bernardino County. San Bernardino has some specific requirements allowing “events” at Auto Club. NASCAR (Auto Club’s Owners) has given us the opportunity to hold this event at their facility, as long as we meet or exceed the requirements mandated by the County. Attached is the formal plan that NASCAR had to approve (along with the Country) to enable us to put on this event. Please read the document and adhere to the mandates. All it takes is one missed step (item) and the event will be shut down and everyone loses the opportunity to participate. Andy Porterfield Memorial US Majors Tour Auto Club Speedway January 15-17, 2021 Please read the entire COVID PLAN document at the end of this Info Package: Below are some highlights of the County/NASCAR mandates – Entry to the event shall be limited to registered entrant/driver plus three (3) crew members. One car per garage door for those that secured a garage Temperatures will be taken at Registration – and everyone must sign in through Registration Everyone must have a wrist band – that indicates your temperature has been checked Masks when outside your “bubble” Race Control and Timing and Scoring are no-go places I have included some details that hopefully will make your experience a bit more informed and welcoming as you attend the event. ENTRY TO THE TRACK: Enter at the main gate on Cherry Ave, (Gate 1). You will be able to enter the paddock area after 3:00 pm on Thursday January 14, 2021. If you arrive before 3:00 pm you will be put in a staging parking lot within the track’s main gate. Gate hours will be 5:00 AM through 10:00 PM Thursday through Sunday. PADDOCK AND GARAGES: There is plenty of paddock space for everyone! Most all spaces have free RV (power/water) hookups (but remember, they will NOT allow us to stay overnight). If you have rented a Garage, Ceci should have forwarded you the Garage space number. If you did not rent a garage, please DO NOT Paddock in the garage area, those spaces are reserved for garage renters and Race Officials. You will be asked to move if you park in this area and do not have a garage, this will be strictly enforced. In the back straight paddock area, please try to park perpendicular to the fence so everyone will have enough room to park! PARKING - Remember, if you have a garage, you have a single “in front of the garage” parking spot. We didn’t design it that way, but we have to work with it. Please have your crew vehicles, etc. - park along the fence or in the parking lot as you approach the fenced in garage paddock area. Parking in the “back stretch lot” as well as other areas throughout the paddock are open. All that is asked is that you respect your neighbors and with a large expected entry, minimize your footprint so all have adequate space to paddock. Andy Porterfield Memorial US Majors Tour Auto Club Speedway – January 15-17, 2021 Chief Steward’s Driver’s Meeting Letter Welcome to Auto Club Speedway. My name is Barb Knox and I am your Chief Steward for this event. I can usually be found near Registration or in Tech area. I will have access to the radio net so you may also ask any one of our many volunteer race officials to reach me via the radio. Driver’s Meeting Due to COVID concerns and Social Distancing, along with strict requirements from San Bernardino County and Speedway Owners NASCAR, there will be no In-Person Driver’s Meeting. Below is the material I, as Chief Steward, would like to relate to all Drivers/Entrants/Participants. I (or Brian our most excellent Announcer) will verbally walk through the below information multiple times Saturday Morning via the Speedway PA System. Please review the Supplemental Regulations for the event (found near the end of this INFO PACKAGE, especially those pertaining to Auto Club Speedway). Speed limits and use of vehicles must be strictly obeyed. Watch for Yellow Flags! Make sure that you slow down for them and be aware of where the incident is. Schedule Remember, all times posted in the Schedule are “Off-the-Grid” times, and that is when the clock starts (except races). Please pay close attention to any announcement made on the Public Address System. The printed schedule is for information only and subject to change at any time. Sometimes race times change. It is your responsibility to know the changes that apply. It is our responsibility to see to it that the changes are relayed to you and the only means we have available to reach everyone is the Public Address system (when/if it works). When in doubt…ask. All of our volunteer officials are more than happy to assist in answering any questions you may have. Keep your eye of the track and be aware of which session is currently out there. Tech/Impound All cars MUST report to impound after each qualifying session and after each race. There is really no “impound” due to COVID, but it gives Stewards an opportunity to pull you in for discussion. On track incidents will be discussed at impound by the appropriate official. Hardship Laps If you need a hardship lap you should report to grid. The Grid officials will contact Race Control for you and, at the appropriate time, you will be sent on your lap. Hardship laps will not be granted immediately prior to your qualifying time or your race. Remember, all of our dedicated race specialties are comprised of volunteers, give them a "thumbs up" when you see them. Have a fun and safe weekend! Auto Club has become very restrictive of Gate/track access… the best compromise we could come up with was the ability to configure timing lights on the concrete (K-Rail) that outlines the track between Turn 12 and Turn 16 on Driver’s LEFT. To get there, refer to the above MAP. Once at the GATE, you will need to get the attention of one of the Turn 16 Flaggers or the Ambulance Drivers parked there. They will then waive you in and you can do your thing either set up, check, or take away your timing stuff. PLEASE do this in-between on-track sessions (i.e. when cars are not out on course). I realize the inconvenience, but it is what it is, and we thank you for working with us! Page 13 CalClubHQ@CalClub.com www.calclub.com Ceci/Office: 661-304-9382

In the event a full course yellow results in dispatch of the safety car, the safety car will enter the racing surface at pit out. 2021 Supps Page 4 CalClubHQ@CalClub.com www.CalClub.com Ceci/Office: 661-304-9382
Rev 1-3-2021 DOUBLE DIPPING: Double Dipping is defined as running one car and one driver in more than one class and run group. For example, SM can be legal in both SM and STL. One driver in one car running in both groups during one sanctioned event is “double dipping”. SM double dipping in more than one group must meet the rules for every group entered (Example STL must meet all the SM rules including weight, tires and the like. Should a SM running STL run anything not legal in SM but legal in STL (tires for example) then the car must meet all of the STL rules, including weight) The goal of double dipping is to provide members an opportunity for more track time at a reduced rate, and does not insure competitiveness. PERSONAL TIMING SYSTEMS: Trackside triggers/beacons for data logging and lap timing systems shall be located in the designated area provided. This area will be 30 feet each side of the Start/Finish line at all tracks except California Speedway, which has a designated area set aside for this purpose. No devices are permitted elsewhere as they disrupt others attempting to get valid times. TRANSPONDERS: AMB TRANX260 System transponders are required for all cars. IT IS THE DRIVER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE HIS/HER TRANSPONDER IS WORKING. Auto Club Speedway Specific: o Due to the distance between the Timing and Scoring station and the track it is very important that the numbers on their race cars are clearly visible from a distance. Often on small open wheel cars the numbers are simply not visible from the Timing and Scoring tower. It is the racer’s responsibility to insure the numbers on his/her race car are sufficiently highlighted and/or of sufficient size to be read visibly by Timing and Scoring personnel. RACE GRID: Gridding will be based on the best lap of the qualifying session for that race. During Major Weekends, Gridding for Saturdays’ race will be based on Saturday’s Qualifying time. Gridding for Sunday’s race will be based on the best Lap from Saturday Qualifying, Saturday’s Race, and Sunday Morning’s Qualifying. At this time, Gridding in this fashion is just for the January and May Majors events. 2021 Supps Page 5 CalClubHQ@CalClub.com www.CalClub.com Ceci/Office: 661-304-9382
Rev 1-3-2021 RACE LENGTH: Race length will be the number of laps or specified times as listed on each Event Schedule. Times on Schedule are for Off-the-Grid. Race-Clock starts with Green Flag. Note, for US Major’s Tour events, Sunday’s Races will target a minimum of 45 race miles. TIMED SESSIONS: The clock will continue to run during all flag conditions with the exception of the red flag. CONTACT IMPOUND: Reminder: Per GCR Section 6.11.1.E.: If a driver is involved in significant body contact, the driver and car shall stop at the designated incident investigation site (Black Flag/Impound area in Tech) for review of the incident by the stewards before going to their paddock area. The designated incident investigation site shall be identified in the Supplemental Regulations and/or a written driver’s meeting. “Significant body contact” includes but is not limited to: contact resulting in 2 or 4 wheels off course, spins, loss of position, or repairs to suspension or bodywork. CAL CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP: Cal Club will track points to determine a Class Champion to award a Regional Champion for each class in the Cal Club Region. Awards will be given to all those finishing in the top three of their class and meeting all the requirements. Requirements: o Must be a Cal Club member or Associate Member (Associate Member Form = http://calclub.com/docs/CALCLUBASSOCIATEMEMBERSHIP-Application.doc). o Must Finish a minimum of 7 Cal Club Sanctioned Races (finishing is defined as completing 50% of the laps of a sanctioned race). o Finish in the top 3 of their class. Cal Club Racing Championship points: o Points will be accumulated based upon the total number of Cal Club sanctioned races for your class less one race. As an example, if there are 12 sanctioned races for your class in the year, only 11 races would be scored for the Cal Club Racing Championship. In the event a qualifying race format is utilized the final race of each sanctioned race will be scored for Cal Club Racing championship points. All Cal Club Sanctioned races will count for championship points. o No Non Cal Club sanctioned races will count towards the Cal Club Championship. 2021 Supps Page 6 CalClubHQ@CalClub.com www.CalClub.com Ceci/Office: 661-304-9382

Rev 1-3-2021 DIVISIONAL (SoPac) PATH TO THE RUNOFFS: The Majors/ Super Tour path to the Runoffs is well defined in the 2021 GCR, but the Divisional Path is up to each Division. Per the updates of the GCR, Section 3.7.4.A, 2b – o Performance Requirement: A competitor must finish in the top three positions in his class point standings, except SM and SRF3 where the top five will be invited. Drivers that have qualified through the Majors path or are the Defending National Champion in the class, may be removed from the Division point standings. The SoPac Division of the SCCA is made up of the following Regions: Arizona, Arizona Border, Cal Club, Guam, Hawaii, Big Island of Hawaii, Las Vegas and San Diego. All licensed Club Racing drivers who are active SCCA members in the SoPac Division are eligible to earn points towards the SoPac Divisional Path to the Runoffs. Cal Club and SCCA have agreed to count ALL the Cal Club races as Divisional Qualifiers. To meet the PARTICIPATION requirement, all you would need is to run a minimum of 4 weekends in any of the Cal Club races, be it Super Tour, Majors, and/or Divisional. (Participation is defined as turning a wheel on the racing surface during the SCCA Sanctioned part of a weekend) – as well as accumulate a minimum of 7 STARTS (Start = taking GREEN FLAG) - bottom line – pick any of the 4 or more Cal Club hosted weekends. Points will be accumulated based upon the total number of Cal Club sanctioned races less two races. The top 3 point total owners in each Runoffs approved class will be eligible to attend the 2021 Runoffs using the Divisional Path, except for Spec Miata and Spec Racer Ford 3 which will take the top 5 positions. All SoPac Division Racing events will count towards the Divisional Path to the Runoffs. (Note - at the current time, only the Cal Club Region is hosting Road Racing events in the SoPac Division. Should other SoPac Regions hold SCCA sanctioned recognized road racing events in 2021, the SoPac Divisional Path as laid out may be updated. Points will be the same as the Majors Points system. Points are paid out as follows: 25, 21, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1 No out-of-Division races will be counted. 2021 Supps Page 8 CalClubHQ@CalClub.com www.CalClub.com Ceci/Office: 661-304-9382
Rev 1-3-2021 DIVISIONAL (SoPac) PATH TO THE RUNOFFS…continued AS noted in the first paragraph of this section, as well as in GCR 3.7.4.A – b. - If a driver competes in both the Majors and the Divisional path to the runoffs and earns an invitation to the runoffs via the Majors, his/her spot in the runoffs qualifications via the Divisional path will be forfeited and go to the next highest divisional qualifying driver. Thus, a driver will qualify either thru the Majors or Divisional for the runoffs, but not both ways. Ties in the Division Points standings are resolved based on the driver’s record of first place finishes, then second place, then third, as needed. If two or more drivers have identical records they are tied for the position in the standings. CLUB FORD AND SPEC FORD TIRES: CLUB FORD and SPEC FORD TIRES: Three tires are specified to qualify, race and receive Divisional points, trophies and a victory flag in the Cal Club /SCCA Divisional FF championship: 1) Hoosier R60a 2) American Racer AR133 3) Toyo R888 A tire marking rule, as follows, is to discourage a competitor from putting on new tires for each session by limiting the number of new tires that can be used for the weekend. New tires must be marked by Tech personnel at a car’s first officially timed on-track session (usually qualifying but can be a race if driver didn’t participate in qualifying or race) of the weekend that is not declared a ‘rain qualifying’ or ‘rain race’ by the Stewards of the event, with the exception of a single replacement tire allowed by the damage rule below. Tires already marked from a previous race weekend may be used for qualifying or races and do not need to be re-marked. Only one set of 4 new tires may be marked and/or used per race weekend with the exception that one additional tire per weekend may be used without penalty in the case of damage. Said replacement tire must be marked by tech personnel before first use. Marked tires must be used in qualifying to be included in the qualifying results unless the session is declared a ‘rain qualifying’ by the Stewards of the event. A car excluded from the qualifying results due to non-compliance of the tire rule will start the subsequent race from the physical back of the grid (behind all cars) but will be scored normally. Cars that do so will be required to have their tires marked by tech personnel. A car starting a race on even one un-marked but legal tire will start at the back of the physical grid (behind all cars) regardless of their qualifying position but will be scored normally. 2021 Supps Page 9 CalClubHQ@CalClub.com www.CalClub.com Ceci/Office: 661-304-9382
Rev 1-3-2021 CLUB FORD AND SPEC FORD TIRES…continued: A car participating with tires not on the approved list may run but will not be scored in either qualifying or the race and will start the race at the physical back of the grid. In the case of both these scenarios occurring in the same session (and one or more cars in each scenario) they will be moved to the physical back of the grid in the order in which they arrived at pre-grid. The Chief Steward may declare a ‘rain race’ at least 30 minutes prior to a scheduled race start to allow competitors the choice of changing to rain tires of any specification if they wish. In addition, a rain race or qualifying session may be declared if at least 30 minutes but no more than one hour prior to the race or session, a majority of the competitors who posted a practice or qualifying time sign a petition declaring it a change in condition race and present it to the Chief Steward. The change in condition applies only to the designated session and not to any other session. RESULTS: Results can be found at the Question Box at each event or at a specified area for each track, which will be announced in the driver’s letter for the specific event. Results will be posted on My Laps .com (speedhive.mylaps.com) and on the Cal Club web site. Additionally any member may request results be mailed if they make such request to Timing and Scoring after each event. TROPHIES: Trophies and other awards shall be given to the top three finishers in each class. All first place finishers will receive a checkered flag. Trophies and awards will be presented in a ceremony at Impound after the race. 2021 Supps Page 10 CalClubHQ@CalClub.com www.CalClub.com Ceci/Office: 661-304-9382

Cal Club SCCA Supplemental Safety Guidelines COVID-19 for Auto Club Speedway 10/28/2020 The purpose of this document is to layout the modified guidelines for Cal Club SCCA event safety in wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. These guidelines are intended to create a safe event environment by following the recommendations set forth by both the National SCCA office and all Government mandates. We ask that all participants review this document. Your understanding of these guidelines will help keep our events possible. Please keep in mind the following: 1. Individuals that are in high-risk categories, as defined by the CDC, should not participate. 2. Some members may be at elevated risk or have at-risk family members at home. Do your best to keep them safe. 3. Respect your fellow members. Your opinions about current guidelines are not shared by everyone. Behave accordingly, and keep it about the racing, that’s why we’re here. 4. The virus is not the only risk to our events. Government officials have the power to end current and future events, including potential monitoring by law enforcement and the health department. Our venues can also shut down our events if they perceive that we are not behaving appropriately. So, behave as if your day of racing, and everyone else’s, depends on it – because it does. Non- compliance with these safety guidelines may result in your removal from the event. The following guidelines and revised event protocols, in conjunction with those issued by the SCCA National Office, are our attempt to improve your safety given what we know at this time. We cannot predict every circumstance or mitigate every potential risk. We are counting on you to exercise your best judgment both before and throughout the event. We reserve the right to change these processes, at any time, as may be needed. If you are sick or symptomatic, stay home. Self-check your temperature before the event and if it is over 100, stay home. You will not be charged if you do not attend. If you become sick at the event, let us know! Please maintain your social distancing and notify the event chair immediately. We are contractually obligated to inform Autoclub Speedway of any potential event exposures to COVID-19. Please practice social distancing and contact the event chair prior to leaving so that we can get you help if needed, and track others who may have been in contact with you. Cal Club SCCA Supplemental Safety Guidelines COVID-19 for Auto Club Speedway 10/28/2020 Registration Volunteers shall use touchless thermometers to verify entrants do not have a fever prior to entering the event. In order to ensure the safety of the event, temperature checks will be mandatory prior to entrance. Anyone displaying a fever of >100.3 ℉ will be denied entry. It is understood that sitting in a hot car or direct sunlight can affect touchless readings so entrants will be allowed to retest once within 10 minutes if they feel their results are incorrect. Only Cal Club thermometers will be used. Please note, if any member of a vehicle has a fever, all occupants of the vehicle as well as members of a shared household will be turned away. This will only be required once and can be verified by the wristbands all entrants receive. Entry to the event shall be limited to registered entrants plus three (3) crew members. In order to hold our event, we are required by the County to limit our attendance to drivers & crew only. Crew members may come in separate cars and will be required to follow all guidelines as posted in this document. Participants are required to bring their own personal protective equipment (PPE). Your safety needs to be your first priority as always, please do not show up to an event without a proper face covering. We will have hand sanitizing materials, as well as gloves and basic PPE on hand for event operational needs only. We reserve the right to turn anyone away who does not come prepared to our events. You must observe all social distancing, sanitizing and handwashing guidelines. You must maintain social distancing and have your face covering with you at all times during the event. If social distancing is not possible at any point in time while at the event, you must wear a face covering. Again, participants must wear face coverings at all times when in hot areas of the event (grid and tech/impound) as well as Registration, Tech, Lunch area, the Trophy area, and the Fuel Pumps. Cal Club SCCA Supplemental Safety Guidelines COVID-19 for Auto Club Speedway 10/28/2020 The following additional revisions to event protocols and processes will be implemented. These changes are being made to limit social interaction and shared touch points. They may be modified as needed throughout the event season: ● Registration will be handled in an external “Registration Area”, outside Garage Building #2. There will be line delineation and marked spacing. Facemasks will be required. Unnecessary handling of waivers, wristbands and tech inspection documents should be avoided. ● Paddock spaces shall observe social distancing protocols. Ample paddock space exist such that no two cars/Teams shall be parked immediately adjacent to one another. ● With regards to Garages, the County has stated that one car per garage door is permitted (limiting the available garages to 50 cars). ● The drivers meeting will be conducted via the public address system. ● Timing and Scoring will take place in it’s usual area above the Suites, but will be a no- go area with limited T&S staff ● Race Control is also a no-go area and will be limited to One Speedway person, one Steward, one Race Control Person, and one Race administration radio person. ● Event equipment and work surfaces shared by event staff must be sanitized throughout the day. If necessary, remind each other gently and respectfully to observe these guidelines. Anyone who continually or willfully violates these guidelines will be asked to leave. Thank you in advance for your cooperation, and we look forward to seeing all our friends back in action! Linked below is the SCCA Home Office’s official COVID-19 recommendations page.
