Pharmacist 2021 CPE Reporting
     Are you ready for continuing pharmacy education (CPE) reporting this year? As part of the new biennial (two-year) renewal cycle for
pharmacist licenses in Ohio, all pharmacists are required to obtain a minimum of 4.0 CEUs (40 hours) every two years. Pharmacists will need
to report CPE credits prior to license renewal in 2021; CPE must be earned between September 16, 2019 and September 15, 2021. Specific
requirements include:
     • Any format (live, home study) is acceptable;
     • Minimum 2 hours medication errors/patient safety (identified as ACPE -05);
     • Minimum 2 hours jurisprudence or law (identified as ACPE -03) or Ohio Board of Pharmacy Approved Jurisprudence;
     • Only ACPE courses and CPE from approved in-state providers (law and provision of volunteer healthcare services) are accepted.

     NOTE: Pharmacists whose first license was issued on or after May 1, 2019 have different reporting requirements. Visit https://www.
pharmacy.ohio.gov/Documents/Licensing/CE/General/Pharmacist%20CE%20Reporting%20Requirements.pdf for specific guidance based on
licensure date.
     Check your e-Profile on the CPE Monitor (https://nabp.pharmacy) to see your current CPE credits that qualify for reporting this year.
OPA uploads CPE credits to the CPE Monitor at the end of each month. To view quizzes that have been graded and not yet uploaded to the
CPE Monitor, log into the Members Only section of the OPA website (www.ohiopharmacists.org) and click on View CPE History.
