Summer Circuit planning has started and will take

this summer but the shoreside activities have been
canceled and the planning for the 2022 PacCup has
started and our Chair at KYC for this planning will be

Friday night dinghy races on begin April 16th.
First race at 6pm sharp! This will be for any sailing craft
under 16 feet with no lead.
We are still working out details for the Summer
Sailing Program but we will be starting sailing classes on
June 1. We will also be holding more classes than last
summer including an "Intro to Sailing" class. Our hope
is to include as many participants as we safely can with
whatever COVID restrictions are in place. Look for sign ups by the middle of
April. There will be emails sent out to the membership. If you would like to be
on my update emails for summer sailing please send me an email at
andrewsjesse@gmail.com.
We are also looking at starting up Junior racing again with HYSA and I think
it is important to learn lessons from the past. As we've had more than a year off we
need to look at the structure of Junior Sailing and what we can improve. We are
coming up with a survey that should be out soon. Again, please email me if you'd
like to be included.
We are all looking forward to getting back to competing and I'd like to thank
everyone that is stepping up to help make this happen in a safe and responsible
manner! Aloha, Jesse

Very big news is going to be announced any day regarding the launch of CJ Perez exciting professional
sailing opportunity! 5TENNIS FLEET
By Donlei Darnell
Looks like the Great Pandemic is slowly fading and there is hope that we
can arrange a tennis tournament in May. Keep your eyes open for flyers and
emails with information. Along with the tournament we are seeing a potluck
possible. Fingers crossed!!
A few members have been talking about how to best use dues that had been
budgeted for last years planned activities. A popular idea was to provide each
paid-up member with a free Tennis Fleet T-shirt. Assuming most member agree
with the idea, we have started thinking about design and printing. Designs being
considered look great!
Other fleets like fishing and sailing have decided to keep their leaders in
place. Lynn Pease has agreed to stay on in 2021 as our Captain, JoAnn Goebert
our Treasurer and Donlei Darnell our Secretary.
A long-postponed project is the planting of ti plants alongside the tennis
courts as well as a herb garden for the cooks to use in the kitchen. A challenge
holding us back is either the absence of PVC pipes for watering or a leak
needing repair. If you are able to help in addressing this need, please call Lynn
at 808 200-2511 or her cell at 949 370-7970.
Have you noticed the Pickle Ball games on South Court. We would love
to have them join the Tennis Fleet for our wonderful Potluck and other
activities.? There are two courts available for play and several tennis players
have been joining the growing Pickle Ball group.
The Tennis Fleet will have tournaments, once they are allowed, usually on
the 2nd Saturday of the month and last until about 2:00. We ask the Pickle Ball
players to observe these dates and times.

DECKHANDS
By Pam Isayama
The Deckhands, being Deckhands, are always up for an occasion, and like
the rest of the club, regretted that Opening Day could not be joyfully celebrated
this Covid year. We had to be satisfied with looking back at years past--and 2006
was a good one!
The Locker will reopen soon with new items in stock. In the meantime,
please continue to contact Roselle Nottage at (808) 216-7654 or any Deckhand
for a “private showing.”
