Conference Location The 2021 AHMC Conference will be held in Albury Wodonga at the Albury Entertainment Centre located at 525 Swift Street, Albury. See link for Albury Entertainment Centre directions map. The venue is part of the city's thriving arts and entertainment precinct, which includes MAMA, the Murray Art Museum Albury, the Library Museum and Murray Conservatorium. It overlooks QEII Square, a popular inner-city park. Albury Airport is five kilometres from the CBD and local taxi services and the Border Shuttle Bus meet all scheduled flight arrivals. There are also rental car kiosks located in the arrivals area at the airport with cars available for hire. COVID 19 The Australian Holistic Management Co-Operative (AHMC) is working with the Albury Entertainment Centre (AEC) to provide confidence and ensure a safe environment for visiting delegates, speakers and staff. We will have a comprehensive COVID Safe Plan in place which has been approved by the NSW Government. We are continuing to actively monitor the situation regarding COVID-19 and are following the latest advice and guidelines provided by state and federal bodies. The AEC is a registered COVID Safe venue and are now operating under strict new guidelines. Your health and safety are their priority. Please click here to view their full COVID Safe plan that is now in place. Please note that safety measures may change as they regularly update processes based on the latest government advice. In accordance with NSW Health regulations The AEC is operating with 75% of audience capacity. Registration The registration desk will be your point of contact throughout the conference and will be open at the AEC Foyer during the following times: Monday 29th March – 2:00pm – 7:00pm Tuesday 30th March – 8:00am – 5:30pm Full Registration Delegate Entitlements include: • Monday evening Welcome Function at AEC • Tuesday Conference sessions • Wednesday Field Trip Please present to the registration desk upon arrival at the conference to collect your name badge and satchel. Your name badge must be worn at all times, as it is your entry to all conference sessions, social functions, lunches, morning and afternoon teas. Introduction to Holistic Management and Regenerative Ag A 2-hour workshop presented by HM educators and producers on building biodiversity and regenerative landscapes. Open to all – Government agencies, Landcare, students, farmers or attendees at the Farming Matters Conference. Tickets must be pre purchased at THIS LINK. This workshop is supported by Murray Local Land Service Date: Monday 29 March 2021 Time: 10:00am to 12:30pm Venue: Elizabeth Room, AEC Dress Code: Smart Casual Price: Tickets are an additional cost and may be purchased for $25/person. Includes M/T Farmers Support Group Gathering Open for all support groups educators, or people wanting to join a Holistic Management support group. Tickets must be pre purchased. Date: Monday 29 March 2021 Time: 3:00pm to 5:30pm Venue: Elizabeth Room, Albury Entertainment Centre Dress Code: Smart Casual Price: Tickets are an additional cost and may be purchased for $20/person. Includes A/T Conference Welcome Reception – Sponsored by Harris Farm Markets Date: Monday 29 March 2021 Time: 5.30pm to 7.00pm Venue: To be held at the AEC. The function is a stand-up networking event with canapes and drinks provided. Dinner afterwards by own arrangements (see attached restaurant guide) Dress Code: Smart Casual. Price: One Welcome Reception ticket is included in a full conference registration. Additional tickets may be purchased for day registrants and/or accompanying guests for $44/person Conference Dinner – Sponsored by Provenir Date: Tuesday 30th March 2021 Time: 6:30pm – 9:30pm Venue: The AEC Banquet Hall. Guest MC Gabrielle Chan who will feature conversation with Regenerative Farmers. The dinner includes a two-course dinner as well as pre dinner drinks (after that drinks are ‘pay own’). Dress Code: Smart Casual Price: Conference Dinner tickets are an additional cost and may be purchased for $88/person. 4
Field Trips All Field Trips will depart from the Swift Street front entrance of the Albury Entertainment Centre. Bus departures will be staggered, and delegates are asked to muster at the buses at least 15 minutes prior to the nominated departure time. All tours are scheduled to return to central Albury by 5.00pm. Business Field Trip 5 Fire Recovery & Livestock Marketing 8.45am Field Trip 6 Heading West, Cropping & Mixed Farming 8.30am Catering for the field trips will be provided however please note there will be no plastic water bottles provided so delegates are required to bring their own pre-filled water bottle. A water bottle will be provided by our major sponsor at the conference. Watering stations will be available to refill drink bottles throughout the day. All Field Trips require walking, please wear appropriate covered footwear and long-sleeved shirt, hat (if sunny) and long pants. A light coat is also advised in case of wet weather. Catering & Dietary Requirements Morning, afternoon tea and lunch on the Tuesday will be served in the Trade Display area in the Banquet Hall. Vegetarian options will be catered for in the main catering choices. Other dietary requirements noted on your registration form have been passed to the catering staff - please ask catering staff for assistance as they know about your requirements, but they don’t know who you are! Should you require particular assistance (and did not mention this when you registered for the Conference), please see the staff at the registration desk. Internet Access There will be complimentary WiFi for AHMC Conference delegates at the Albury Entertainment Centre which doesn’t require a password. Accommodation Delegates are required to book their own travel and accommodation for the conference. Some of the Accommodation options located a block from the Albury Entertainment Centre can be found on the Accommodation Page of the conference website. Alternatively, Albury-Wodonga and Visit Albury Wodonga have some accommodation advice, or you can contact the Albury Visitor Information Centre on 1300 252 879. 5
Car Parking Car parking space at the Albury Entertainment Centre is limited and we encourage delegates/sponsors to walk from their accommodation to the venue. Otherwise, there are several car parks within walking distance of the venue, all of which offer free parking. Alternatively, street parking is available in Swift Street, although parking time limits apply and are heavily enforced.
