Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel is known for its natural beauty, oak-lined gardens, Cape
Dutch architecture, & rich history. Encapsulated in solitude, we provide the perfect
setting for any occasion. In keeping with tradition, the current owners, the Malan family,
have expanded the estate while maintaining the original Cape Dutch style architecture.
The unique manor house is in extent 1000m² & the venue facilities cover an estimated
600m². Kleinkaap is an escape into nature & history despite our modern & progressive
approach to service. Come & take a leisurely stroll through our gardens...

chamomile
[ kam-uh-mahyl, -meel ]
A composite plant, Chamaemelium nobile (or Anthemis nobilis). A strongly scented
foliage with white ray flowers & yellow centres.
We use dried chamomile flowers to make delicious cups of tea!

Our menu is always guided by what is available in that specific season & at hand in our
own vegetable garden. We strive to serve wholesome food that nourishes the body. We
believe organically grown produce nourishes the body, mind & soul.
Our lamb is sourced from grass-fed cattle & local farmers, along with delicious eggs laid
by happy hens that scratch around freely in the fields. We strive to only buy fresh
veggies that are grown without the use of chemical fertilisers, pesticides or artificial
chemicals.

Visit our deli in the hotel reception area. We sell a selection of fine, hand-made goods
made with love from our chefs or local South African artisans.

KANAÄN
Established in 2018, our herb & vegetable garden was inspired by the need to prepare real food grown
without any chemical fertilisers, pesticides or artificial chemicals. The name Kanaän means life in
abundance and a promise for new life. Kanaän currently consists of 50+ different edible plant species!
ANIMALS
You may come across our resident chickens, ducks, quinea fowls and swans that all happily roaming the
grounds. Bring your binoculars and see if you can spot the 58 bird species on our grounds.
AT M O S P H E R I C W AT E R
Atmospheric water is a unique & innovative technology that extracts moisture from the atmosphere
efficiently, economically & ecologically, to convert it into drinking water through filtering. We have our
very own atmospheric water bottled & sourced onsite with a perfect pH balance of 7.5.

ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS
Kleinkaap is a paradise for children. We invite our young guests to play in our “forests” of gardens. A
game of hide and seek will be perfect on our expansive grounds!
SWIMMING POOL
The swimming pool is situated at the back of our hotel. The swimming pool is reserved for hotel guests
only and the use thereof is at own risk. Children must always be supervised. Pool towels are provided at
reception.
