Plan C (Remote/Virtual Learning) Daily Schedule
Daily Attendance
 - Students are expected to attend all of their classes each day. Attendance will
be taken during the daily Zoom meetings for each class.
 - If your child cannot attend the daily live sessions on Zoom, please reach out
     to their teachers via email.
 - In order for your child to be counted as present in school:
             - Your child must attend the live Zoom meeting at the assigned class time
with their camera on and participating in class
                                            - OR -
             - If your child cannot attend the live meetings, he/she will need to access
the recorded video for that day AND complete the daily assigned tasks.

*If there is a reason why your student cannot have their camera on during the live meeting, please contact
the school to speak with one of the school’s administrators.
Student Expectations

- All course content will be accessed through Canvas.
- All of our teachers will hold daily zoom meetings with students, at their
scheduled block (core) times, to ensure they have a face to face time
  to interact with their teachers.
- Students are expected to log into Canvas at the start of each of their
block times on the schedule in the previous slide.
- These zoom meetings will be recorded and posted to the class Canvas
each day. If a student misses the assigned time, they can still receive
the same information from their teacher.
Tips for Successful Start to the Year

- Follow The Schedule - Your child has a specific time to work in your
courses. You will have something to do every single school day in most of
your classes, be aware of your assignment due dates.
- Stay Organized - Keep track of course work. Your child should save
copies of work on their computer, a flash drive, or upload it to Google
Drive. Use your ABSS Google Calendar to keep up with due dates.
- Have a Consistent Workspace - Your child needs an organized, clean
workspace to do your school work. They should have a workspace which
  is free of distractions.
Tips for Successful Start to the Year
- Understand your workload - Regularly check your Canvas courses to
  determine what work is required
- Connect With Your Teachers Early and Often - Let them know when
you are struggling so that you do not get too far behind without getting
  some help.
- Log In Everyday - Check the status of your classes, make sure you have
met all due dates, and check your school email daily for important
announcements and communication from your teachers.
- Do The Work - Don’t just submit assignments. Be an active participant so
you can learn the material, and be prepared for future courses.
Canvas

- This year, all middle and high school students will use Canvas for their online
    learning (instead of Google Classroom).
- Students will log in to Canvas by logging into NCEdCloud on the BMS
    website.
          - To do this, you will go to the BMS homepage.
          - Go to the “Students” tab above the pictures and click on NCEdCloud

- Parents - information will be posted on the BMS website on how to access
your child’s Canvas account as an “Observer” to help you support your child.
Required Vaccinations

- If your child is a rising 7th grader, they are required to have the Tdap &
Meningitis vaccine. Please check the BMS website for more information
  about the required vaccinations.
- When the required doses have been given, bring a documented shot
record to the school office. Unless you send proof of the immunizations,
your child cannot participate in school after the 30th day, September 15.
- If your child does not have the required vaccinations, you will receive
information from the school within the first two weeks of school.
