Bulldog Bark - Fraser Public Schools
Overall, our team came in FIFTH PLACE out of 13 teams ---
SUPER AMAZING!!!!
This year, (and I did not know this information until the video
with the awards was shown) there were medals awarded to
different numbers of teams, based on the number of teams
that participated in each event, instead of awarding medals to
1st through 8th place. In some events, 2 or 3 or 4 medals were
awarded.
Regardless of the medals, I could not be more impressed with how Team Emerson did! I hope
everyone is proud of their hard work and realizes that it all paid off when you participated in
your events.
Here are the final results for Team Emerson:

4th Grade Creative "Poppy" Project
After reading Trimester 3’s Genre Study Novel, Poppy, 4th grade students created a project of
their choice to show their understanding. Students showed off their creativity by presenting
newscasts, interviews, billboards, book trailers and even poems. Some students chose to
design a Poppy theme board game. After the game board designers explained the rules and
object of their games, students were able to play each of them outside.

Emerson StuCo raises $367 for trees!
On the week of May 10th student council in collaboration with Green Team put together a
fundraiser in efforts to raise money to save trees. This idea was thought of by our 6th grade
Bulldog Bark - Fraser Public Schools
student council members after celebrating Earth Day. Student council choose between three
different organizations and unanimously selecting Trees for Future. This organization
contributes in planting trees worldwide. Their mission, planting trees will help bring nutrients
back to the soil, which will allow for the growing of crops, and will help with income and food
in struggling countries. Overall, student council was able to raise over $367! This was a huge
success and a big thanks to the Emerson bulldogs contributing to a great cause and student
council members for putting this together! Way to go Bulldogs!!

PTO GIVING TREE!

Hello Emerson Families,

The amazing educators at Emerson need your help! In the
past, apples with requested items would hang on the tree
outside the office for parents to grab when in the building.
Due to COVID, this is not possible, so we are going virtual.
Below you will find a link to a "Virtual Giving Tree." Please
take a moment to review the list and sign up to donate. Your
generosity is much appreciated!
