                                                                                                          The trail is primarily used for hiking from May
                                                                                                          through October with a beautiful 15-foot waterfall at
                                                                                                          approximately 1,000-foot elevation.

                                                                                                          The perfect trail for active hikers who want a longer
                                                                                                          experience that offers expansive views. This trail
                                                                                                          passes by Boulder Rock and the former site of the
                                                                                                          Catskill Mountain House.

                                                                                                          The trail offers challenging terrain over ever-
                                                                                                          changing scenery with mixed hardwood forests, dark
                                                                                                          hemlock groves along swift-flowing creeks, and a
                                                                                                          spruce-fir cap on the higher peaks.
                                                                                                          Hunter Mountain Fire Tower
                                                                                                          One of the Catskills’ iconic hikes located on the
                                                                                                          summit of Hunter Mountain. The fire tower offers
                                                                                                          panoramic views of the mountains.

                                                                                                          Great trail for avid backcountry hikers, offering a
                                                                                                          strenuous climb that crosses the Plattekill Creek,

                                                                                                          At 260 feet, this two-tiered fall is the highest

One of the most breathtaking rides through the Catskills. As you ride into the
mountains, some of the highest peaks in Greene County rise above you, offering
incredible views of the region’s landscape and access to scenic vistas, such as the
Kaaterskill Clove. This route passes through quaint towns offering great places to
stop for a meal, and shopping at antique stores and boutiques. Ride curves and

THE EMERALD ISLE TOUR—

Travel through Greene County’s Irish-settled countryside, offering breathtaking
scenery and smooth roads. Follow the shamrocks on Route 145 to the Irish land of
East Durham, home of the Annual Irish Festival. This route offers riders the chance to
experience Cochrane Road, one of the most scenic roads in Greene County.
