Lifeguard Training

Ages: 15 and up
Lifeguard Certification is a requirement for employment as a Lifeguard. To participate, you must
be 15-years old by the final day of class. Candidates must pass a pre-skills test on March 3rd to
continue. Attendance at all class dates is required for certification.

Not sure what level your child needs to be in for swim lessons? Meet with a Water Safety
Instructor for a swim test so you can register your child with confidence! Assessment will be on a
first come-first served basis. Actual assessment time is about 5 minutes.

Junior Lifeguard Training

Our Junior Lifeguard class is designed to
teach basic rescue techniques, assist in
enforcement of pool rules and regulations
during open swim, aquatic facility operations,
and help assist in our Learn to Swim

Lifeguard position with the City of Apache
Junction.

Senior Trail Walk Fitness Exploration for Homeschoolers

Start your Friday morning with a staff lead 2 mile This fitness class incorporates a variety of physical
power walk on the beautiful desert trails behind the activities that will encourage homeschooled kids to live
MGC. Walk begins at 8:30am. Meets Fridays January active lifestyles, build healthy habits, and learn team
7th- March 4th and is free! No pre-registration building. Activities will include but aren't limited to-
required. games, sport introductions, strength training, coordination
and cardiovascular exercises, and outdoor hikes. The

Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is a transformational, physical activity based, positive youth
development program for girls in 3rd-5th grade. We teach life skills through dynamic,
interactive lessons and running games. The program culminates with the girls being
physically and emotionally prepared to complete a celebratory 5k running event. The
goal of the program is to unleash confidence through accomplishment while
establishing a lifetime appreciation of health and fitness. For registration, please go

the tools to create the person they want to be. We will work on reaching fitness goals, learn to eat
healthier, and work together as a team to reach our goals. Group will meet the 1st Monday and 2nd
Monday of the month. 1st Monday as a group, 2nd Monday for one on one coaching.

Grab your kids, your pups and their running shoes and join us for Fit Family Trails & Tails 5k at
Prospector Park. We'll be starting in waves so pre-registration is necessary. Please arrive no
earlier than 15 minutes prior to your start time to check in. All pups must be well behaved and on
leash at all time. Pups are not required to participate.

Earth Day Celebration & Ladybug Release! Come learn how keeping our community healthy keeps
us healthy. Plant seedlings, learn how to build a planter box, listen to music, and eat amazing,
delicious fruit and veggies and create art. Release thousands of ladybug's at 10am. Releasing the
ladybugs is a hands on experience!

Arizona Science Center Field Trip

Join us as we take a trip down to Phoenix and the Arizona Science Center. We will be exploring all
four floors and the over 300 exhibits. After that we will be watching a 3D movie in the IMAX

theatre. This trip is limited to only 13 kids, so register early! Please plan on bringing a lunch as it
will not be provided.

you covered. Check out our break camps! Each week will offer a different themed camp for the
morning and afternoon sessions. Activities will include sports, arts & crafts, cooking, science and
more. Sign up for morning and afternoon session and receive a $25 discount.**Our break camps
are not licensed daycare facilities. Children are free to check themselves in and out of the
program.

Join us as we celebrate Mom! We will be hosting our annual Mother’s Day Tea on May 7th.
Tickets can be purchased at the Senior Services counter Monday through Friday from 8:00a -
3:00p. Tickets will be available on a first come first serve basis. Seating is limited so purchase

Leisure Time Programs (LTP)

This is a group of programs geared towards
those 55+. The LTP program is comprised of
many different types of programs; PoKeNo,
Bridge, fitness classes, walking groups, etc.
You don't have to participate in them all, you
can pick and choose the programs that
interest you. The LTP registration is $20 for
programs Jan - June, and/or $20 for
programs July - Dec. Please visit

Multi-Generational Center for a calendar of
events.

Belly Dance

This course will cover belly dancing moves for beginners and intermediate students. Mixed-level
instruction will meet dancers where they are in their dance education. The class will include hip,
arm and shoulder movements, and traveling moves, put together in combinations and sequences.
The students will learn occasional choreography to belly dance music that will allow dancers to
participate in optional performance opportunities.

Kenpo is a street-based combat self-protection system. In this class you will learn simple
techniques and be provided with effective training that will not take years to master. This system
is suited for women and men of all ages because physical strength and athletic abilities are not

Each music and movement exploration class is filled with songs integrated with physical
movement, dramatic imagination, exploration of instruments such as tambourines, triangles,
maracas, rhythm sticks and more. Our instructors will invite children to explore moving, singing,
verbal and listening skills. A 4 piece set of instruments will be provided. Participants will be
responsible for bringing their instruments to class each week.

in our Doubles Pickleball Leagues (double headers) at Prospector Park on Thursday nights starting
February 10. Find a partner and register today! Male, Female, Co-ed, it doesn't matter, as divisions
are based on skill level (3.0&under, 3.5, 4.0&over). ONLY $15.00 per player (2 players per team).

and weekly updates. 6 weeks league play + one more for end of season tournament. REGISTER BY

Parents and toddlers will gain an understanding of basic soccer
skills from a contracted instructor. This is designed to better
prepare kids for organized sports as well as help parents feel
more comfortable in teaching and coaching youth. Participants
