  Greetings to the member of the class of 2021 reading this. I will try and
  make this short, sweet, and to the point. The reason I am running for your
  class President is to further better our class. I am not here to brag or
  mention PT scores or GPA because those may be shiny to the eye, it does not
  reflect the dedication I will show our class. I have made contact with several
  individuals about meeting with our great president, General Walters, to
  establish a line of communication, so he know where to go to if he had any
  questions on what our class wants because he is a very hands on leader. I
  would like to be an open line of communication between you and the higher
  chain of command of our towering bulwark of rigid discipline with any
  concerns you have i.e. issues with the white book etc. As the current
  president I also already know the ins and outs of work that has to be done
  such as the Ring and upcoming Spring hop. I hope I have your vote, have a
  great rest of your day.

      My name's Dylan Cunningham and I am running for president
      because the class of 2021 needs someone willing to stand up to
      Jenkins Hall. I am an Army Reservist and contract who aspires
      to be a pilot. I love politics and tend to be an outgoing person. I
      hope to represent the class of 2021 by listening to our
      classmates across the Corps. Some things I hope to change are
      the tobacco policy on campus and punishment system. I hope
      to serve you well.

   Name: Grant Mays                        Hey y’all, for anyone who doesn’t know me, I’m Grant Mays,
    Major: Political Science   former class president of the Class of 21. Last year, it was the hardest
                               thing I’ve ever done when I had to leave The Citadel and resign my
    Hometown: Prosperity, SC   presidency because of financial issues, but I worked hard to remedy the
    Company:Regimental Band    problem and now I’m back for good! During my journey back however, I
                               realized that the reason we all come back to this bastion of antiquity
                               (emphasis on antiquity) is not because of the system itself, but because of
                               the lasting connections we’ve made with each other as classmates. That
                               sentiment has stuck with me and is at the heart of my campaign for class
                               president this year. I’m running to represent the class of 21 in every sense
                               of the word. What we need in a class president is a strong advocate that
                               will work hard to amplify the innovative ideas that we believe in. I
                               promise as class president, I will do everything in my power to make the
                               changes that we need. This school needs changes in areas ranging from
                               the campus tobacco policy and the infamous CAS system to the various
                               books of rules that penalize cadets of good standing. With a new
                               administration coming into office, I look to the realization of these goals
                               with great optimism and it would be my honor to help lead our class and
                               this institution into the future. I hope y’all will join me and cast your vote

        I was born and raised in Florence, South Carolina, having my
        Dad, Grandad, and many other family members attend the
        Citadel. I want to do what I can to make sure everything that
        makes this place stand out compared to other schools
        continues as long as it can. I feel like just walking to class I am
        saying hey to one of my classmates every ten steps, showing
        that I know exactly who I will be representing. Hopefully when I
        graduate I will either to go law school or get my masters in
        finance, but for now I am focused on our success as a class for
        the next two years.

 Major/Minor : Political Science /    2021 Treasurer! My mission reaches far beyond money mattes by
  Criminal Justice & Spanish          striving to bridge the gap between the students and the faculty to
 Hometown : Houston, TX               enhance our cadet lives here at The Citadel. It’s time that we as students
 Company : Bravo                      begin to revolutionize the school in ways we all have a say in, this can be
                                      possible by voting for me. My one goal is this, to ensure a
                                      communication all around thus driving the members of the class of ‘21
                                      in a positive direction. I’m goal orientated, optimistic, and friendly . My
                                      drive and aspirations motivate me to improve my personal leadership
                                      standards every day. I am a political science and criminal justice major
                                      with a minor in Spanish. I have had the opportunity to travel and study
                                      in several foreign countries and I pride myself in being open minded and
                                      tactful. My previous leadership experience comes from being a cadre cpl
                                      and the match secretary for the women’s rugby team. I aspire to work as
                                      a foreign service officer in public diplomacy , aiding in humanitarian
                                      efforts as well as sustainability in South American countries post
                                      graduation to eventually reach my dream of becoming an ambassador .
                                      Class of ‘21, I have huge plans for you and I implore you to take a
                                      chance and vote for me to move towards reestablishing the true and
                                      rightful practice of the cadets running the corps !
