         Walt Disney World College Program
          Internship Learning Agreement

To earn credit for your Walt Disney World Internship, the learning agreement
must be completed in its entirety and submitted to EBE by the LAST ADD Day
of the semester of your internship.
Congratulations on being accepted into Walt Disney World’s College Internship Program!

This packet is for students who would like to receive internship (498 level) credit for their internship in Disney World.

All students who will receive credit for the Disney internship are required to complete and submit the Internship
Learning Agreement. Learning Agreements are due in our office by the last ADD DAY of the semester or two weeks
after you have arrived in Florida.

Requirements to Earn Internship Credit:

 Student must have a minimum 2.50 overall GPA (there are no exceptions)
 2-12 credits may be earned through GST or Departmental 498 for students who meet the above requirements
 Submit a completed Learning Agreement to Experience-Based Education within two weeks of starting your internship.
 Three credits of GST 303 can be earned by students who do not meet the GPA requirements. GST 303 students will register for the GST 303 online
course and will not need to complete this packet.

Registration:

 Students can register for the internship credit during their regular registration period. You can register by visiting the EBE website, selecting the page that
pertains to the semester of your internship (Fall, Spring, or Summer) and complete the online INTERNSHIP REGISTRATION FORM.

 Registration for internship credit is recommended only for students who are absolutely certain they will be going to Florida. If you feel your plans could
change, we recommend registering for a regular class schedule so you will have a course schedule should your plans change.

Before leaving for Disney:

   Print the learning agreement
 Fill out as much of your Learning Agreement as possible including the type of credit, position responsibilities, and learning objectives (a worksheet for
helping you develop learning objectives is included). Some information may have to be completed once you get to Disney (address, work site, supervisor,
    etc.)
 Set up a meeting with a faculty sponsor from your major to complete your Learning Agreement. Your faculty sponsor will be responsible for completing the
assignment section of your Learning Agreement and assigning your final internship grade (498 internships are assigned pass/fail grades, H, S or U).
 Sign your learning agreement, have your Faculty Sponsor, Academic Advisor and Department Chair also sign.
 Bring your Learning Agreement to Experience-Based Education. We will keep a copy on file until you mail us the completed original.
When you arrive in Disney:

 Complete the remaining sections of your Learning Agreement.
 Get your site supervisor’s signature. At this time your Learning Agreement will be complete. THIS MUST BE DONE WITHIN 2 WEEKS OF
ARRIVING AT DISNEY, then return the learning agreement to EBE by mail, fax or emai.
 EBE will process your Learning Agreement for final approval and email you a copy.
 REMINDER: All assignments must be sent to your faculty sponsor by the due date outlined on your Learning Agreement.

Before leaving Disney- IMPORTANT:

 Before leaving Disney, meet with your supervisor for an evaluation and have a copy sent to Experience-Based Education. It is recommended that you always
get a copy of your evaluation from your site supervisor in case it is not received by EBE. DO NOT LEAVE DISNEY WITHOUT VERIFYING THAT
      EBE HAS RECEIVED YOUR EVALUATION.

                                                          Developing Learning Objectives

A good learning objective should describe for you, your faculty sponsor, and your site supervisor exactly, what you hope to learn through
your internship experience. Your learning objectives should be specific and measurable.

The assignments used to measure the learning objectives should be included under the Academic Assignment section of the learning
agreement.

Do not confuse Performance (what you will do) with Learning (what you want to learn from what you will be doing). When developing
learning objectives use adjectives like: learn, improve, analyze, develop, compare, and gain.

     1. What knowledge, ideas, theories or concepts gained through coursework in your major or minor can be applied to your position?

     2. What skills developed through your academic program can you utilize on the job?

     3. What new knowledge or information do you expect to gain from your internship that will strengthen your academic program?

     4. What new skills will you develop through the experience which will contribute to the successful completion of your academic program?

     5. What information will you be able to obtain regarding professional fields and the demands of these fields?

     6. How do you expect the experience to affect your personal and emotional growth?
