Gemini’s Classic Opera is an 8 year old Sport Horse GB Graded Stallion who was ranked by
Horse and Hound magazine in the top 12 stallions in Great Britain in 2019. He is a British
Eventing winner and BSJA prize winner himself and is full brother to the young Advanced
Eventer The Classic Composer.
Classic Opera was used on a Burghley CCI5* mare early in his Stud Career which is no
surprise given his outstanding Eventing pedigree. His sire Classic Primitive was a British
Eventing Breeding Young Horse Champion and was a British Equestrian Federation
Futurity Reserve Champion Nationally for SJ, has the admirable blood needed being 68%
Thoroughbred blood and out of a full Thoroughbred mare by the legendary Primitive Rising.
Primitive Rising still today holds the highest record of Burghley Young Event Horse Finalist
Winners with a grand total of 5 winners since the series started in 1990.
In the 8 & 9 year old Advanced Class at Aston-Le-Walls in the summer of 2019 only one sire
had two or more progeny in this prestigious class, and that was Classic Primitive. Classic
Primitive was represented by his 9 year old son The Classic Composer and his 8 year old son
Something Classical.
Classic Opera shares a paternal line with the 2016 Team GBR Olympic Trial winner Chico
Bella P via Chico’s Boy. Chico’s Boy was the 2002 Champion of the Holstein Licensing for
Show Jumpers and has sired multiple CCI4* Event winners. In 2018 Chico’s Boy was number
47 in the Rolex FEI World Rankings of Eventing Sires.
Classic Opera’s showing career is nothing short of exceptional. He has won or been
Champion as an In Hand Hunter, Sports Horse, Small Hunter and SHP. In 2015 he not only
won on every outing at County Level but he also went Champion and was a Horse of the Year
Show Cuddy In Hand Finalist.
In 2019 Classic Opera’s progeny reflected their sires outstanding conformation and trainable
temperaments by winning no less than 13 classes at County level. Given that Classic Opera
was only 7 years old at the time, this is a phenomenal record for a young stallion.
The dam of Classic Opera’s from whom he has inherited his exceptional head and black
colour is the Hanoverian Elite Graded mare Weltmusik. Weltmusik is the sire of 3 winning
Event horses one of whom is now Advanced and has previously held the title of the highest
ranked broodmare in Great Britain under the British Equestrian Federation Futurity
Rankings. Weltmusik is by Weltregent H who is by Weltmeyer and she is also full sister to a
State Premium mare.

Available by AI only. Classic Opera is available for chilled, fresh and frozen semen. Chilled
semen is despatched 6 days a week during the Stud Season. For mare owners wanting chilled Mobile Number
semen direct from the stallion into their mare then mares will need to be resident at Brackenspa
Stud Farm under the care of Tower Equine Vets. Frozen semen is available from West Kington Email
Stud. There will be a small number of other UK based Equine reproduction centres holding Vet Practice/AI Centre
Classic Opera semen. In all cases, mare owners are expected to pay their own shipping and
collection fees.
