generator that will generate enough energy to run a small fan motor.

this year, kids experience arts and dance from around the world!

Aiming to improve skills and expand the imagination through exposure to world
rhythms/cultural dance, modern and jazz dance, and ballet, the camps also
feature drawing, painting, sculpture, children’s literature, music by live drum-
ming accompanists, and more. Plus, we’ll continue incorporating children’s
yoga on Fridays. We have a great team of instructors looking forward to a fun
and educational line-up of activities with your child this summer (see our bios
on the back page). Each camp will include an informal showcase. We’ve priced
these camps at very affordable rates that equate to an average of $8 per hour.

These youth camps are a collaborative effort between the Glenwood Springs
Arts Council, whose members developed curriculum and selected instructors,
and CMC which is providing space, hiring the instructors, and handling regis-
      tration.

      Sustainability Studies
Hungry for change? Join the crew! Heal the Earth with your own hands, in concert with your
community. Permaculture is a sustainable design system for creating regenerative human
environments where people create abundance of food, medicine and community by working with,
rather than against, Nature. Coursework includes an overview of permaculture principles and lots of
hands-on experience observing and working with living permaculture systems throughout the Roaring
Fork Valley. Students learn from a diversity of world-class permaculture practitioners and apply what
they learn to design a real space in our area. (Suitable farming or gardening sites will be provided
to students.) After completion of both courses, students will receive the internationally-recognized
Permaculture Design Certificate: your ticket to working on organic farms anywhere in the world.
These courses are part of our bachelor’s degree program in Sustainability Studies, but they are open
to community members as well as degree seekers. For any questions about the classes, contact
