Icon Constructors Inc. is a fully funded company that has relied on the individual talent, knowledge and experience of its owners who have more than 30 years of construction experience. Icon has achieved success throughout Canada on behalf of some of the country’s largest retail companies. The cornerstone of the business has always been exemplified by unmitigated strength and experience represented by its owners and employees, all of whom have extensive resumes highlighting their acquired expertise. We are an industry leader in interior construction, utilizing our experience, knowledge and resources to provide professional construction services. We pride ourselves on the ability to assist each and every client in achieving their goals and realizing their vision. Our hands-on approach and dedicated team of in-house staff and site personnel are key elements in our ability to deliver hundreds of projects successfully from start to finish, on schedule and on budget. Retail Built Well. Our Story In the fall of 2004, Mauro and Artur recognised an opportunity, the construction industry was in need of an experienced and true interior general contractor that could provide construction services tailored to meet the increasing demand in the retail and commercial sector. Dino and John would join them and complete the team. Soon after, Icon Constructors Inc. was founded. In late November of 2004, after pursuing an opportunity with Home Depot Canada, Icon was awarded with construction projects for 16 new Home Depot locations throughout Ontario and the Maritimes, all slated for execution starting January of 2005. The race was on to make 97 Buttermill Avenue in Vaughan a functioning home for Icon Constructors Inc. During the course of 2005, Icon was successful in establishing a business relationship with grocery retailer Loblaw Properties Limited, and securing multiple projects within Ontario. These initial connections have continued to develop into ongoing, long term relationships and the rest is history. With the continued growth of their client base and the increasing recognition of being industry leaders, the need for a larger facility became increasingly evident. As of June 2015, Icon Constructors has made 6801 Columbus Road in Mississauga their new home. At Icon, new opportunities and challenges are always welcome.
Retail Built Well. Leadership Team As owners, managers and operators, we have over 30 years of experience and expertise in the retail and commercial sector of the construction industry. Our knowledge of design, manufacturing, construction and fixturing installations are assets that benefit our ability to execute projects of various size and complexity. Our organizational skills, project management expertise and understanding of client needs and construction processes allows us to work effectively with consultants and manage subtrades, suppliers, in-house staff and site personnel to achieve desired results and expectations. As owners, managers and operators, our hands-on approach to the needs of our clients reflect our commitment and dedication to the successful execution and completion of projects in a professional, timely, efficient and cost- effective manner. GENERAL CONTRACTING
We specialize in interior construction
and can take your project vision from
start to finish. Our involvement can be
as early as the design and budgeting stages
and continue through to tendering, negotiating
contracts, scheduling, procurement, execution,
commissioning and hand over. Our team of managers, site
supervisors, carpenters and construction trades are knowledge-
able and sensitive to the needs and requirements of our clients,
and the successful execution of their project environments.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Communication, coordination and scheduling are essential for
the successful management and supervision of trades, suppliers
and site for timely and cost-effective execution of projects. This is
particularly important and critical with renovations and remodels,
to existing functioning environments where disruption must be
contained and maintained to a minimum for continued operation.
MILLWORK & STORE FIXTURES
With our network of vendors, millwork shops, metal fabricators
and specialty manufacturing shops, Icon can provide our clients
with custom millwork and store fixturing solutions to meet all
their project needs.
FIXTURING & SIGNAGE INSTALLATION
Our in-house team of experienced, dependable supervisors and
carpenters can provide quality installations of architectural mill-
work, casework, store fixtures, signage and graphics, whether
client supplied or supplied through Icon’s network of vendors,
shops and fabricators.
