Welcome to our latest edition of TIMEOUT…
The COVID-19 pandemic has had an immense impact on our community. For this reason, this
newsletter will look a little different.
As an essential service, the Western Regional Parenting Service will continue to operate.
We are the regional parenting service for the Western Metropolitan Region of Melbourne that includes the
local government areas of:
• Brimbank • Melbourne • Wyndham
• Hobsons Bay • Melton
• Maribyrnong • Moonee Valley
We offer a range of free group education and early intervention programs, information and referral for
parents/carers with children from 0-18 years.
Our current services include:
• 1:1 telephone support
• parenting programs online at your own pace with support
• parenting programs via phone
• parenting programs via Zoom
• online support groups

Circle of Security (Online Delivery Via ZOOM)
In response to COVID-19, MacKillop Family Services is pleased to announce our online delivery of Circle of
Security.
Circle of Security parenting program supports parents/carers to build relationships with their children to
enhance attachment. The program runs for seven consecutive weeks, for 1 ½ hours at a time.
Circle of Security supports parents /carers to:
• Learn and Understand how to create a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for their
children.
• Recognise their strengths as parents and further strengthen their relationship with their children.
• Recognise children’s behavioural cues and become more responsive to their children’s emotional
needs.
