1913 - THE BEGINNINGS In 1913, Paolo Albini founded Paolo Albini Costruzioni, right at the beginning of a phase of great housing development which continued for several decades in Varese. In 1937, his sons Carlo and Giuseppe took over. Alongside the residential sector, the company joined other sectors of intervention and began to significantly expand the set of skills they offered. 1961 - THE FIRST AWARDS In 1961 Paolo Albini Costruzioni was sold to Giancarlo Albini and to Francesco Castelli. The name changed to Impresa di costruzioni Albini e Castelli and it grew rapidly, becoming one of the reference points in the province of Varese. It is active in the construction of residential complexes, factories and schools. It also became an appreciated reality in the field of restoration by completing, among other things, two interventions that have become internationally recognized experiences over time: l’Eremo di Santa Caterina del Sasso (Lake Maggiore) and theBasilica di San Vittore (The city of Varese). 1987 - DEVELOPMENT In 1987, Alberto Castelli joined the company, flanked by the technical direction of Raimondo Gandolla, and a new phase of development began. The geographical area extended from the province of Varese to the whole northern-central part of the country.Over the years, interventions have reached significant levels of diversification and complexity: Shopping centers, hotels, residential and office complexes, industrial structures, hospitals, logistics distribution centers. TODAY - INTERNATIONALIZATION In more recent times, attention has also grown to specific foreign markets. Branches have been established and targeted promotional activity has begun. In 2018 Albini and Castelli won a tender for the construction of a hospital in Albania.

Today the company is led by Alberto and Giorgio Castelli. Stably committed to all sectors of the
construction world, it continues to be interested and attentive in taking up all the challenges and
opportunities that the market offers.
Multidisciplinary skills, technical skills, a structured organization allow us to tackle an even wider
spectrum of activities which is even more varied and complex than in the past: multi-storey
underground car parks with peripheral consolidation in areas with a strong urban settlement;
Renovation of important historic buildings subjected to heavy architectural constraints; top-down
structures, piling and micro-piling systems; industrialized residential modules with fixed and variable
parts design; seismic adjustments of complex structures with solutions in continuity of operation…
Without forgetting the search for original intervention models with innovative methods and solutions
both on the redesign front and on the realization front in a unitary vision of the structural,
architectural, building and plant components.
A REALITY IN CONTINUOUS EVOLUTION We are lucky to have built, over time, a group of valuable and close-knit collaborators. From the managers to technicians, designers to workers and to the engineers, everyone is aware that their contribution it is crucial for a successful job. UNI EN ISO 9001: 2015 CERTIFICATION OF THE QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM In May 2003, Albini and Castelli obtained the recognition that all the procedures adopted in the design, construction, maintenance and renovation of civil and industrial buildings meet quality and efficiency criteria. The company has also recognized its expertise in the field of restoration and conservative restoration of real estate subject to protection. The certificate sets the commitment and efforts made by the company on paper, which has always worked respecting a quality standard, now finally guaranteed. OHSAS 18001: 2007 CERTIFICATION OF THE SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND HEALTH IN THE WORKPLACE Since August 2006, the company has held the OHSAS 18001 certificate, which guarantees the compliance of the procedures activated, for the management of the safety and health of workers to the requirements of European legislation. Obtaining the certification which is not mandatory according to current Italian legislation, has been strongly pursued to testify the company's attention to the most current health and safety issues in the workplace that only a few dozen businesses throughout Italy can boast. CQOP CERTIFICATION The certificate of qualification for the execution of public works, issued to the company in March 2002, identifies it as a "Qualified Builder of Public Works", allowing participation in tenders and important bids intended for public use. This certification is known to operators in the sector as an SOA license.
