2. WMMC Living With Diabetes Class

Description: We offer a free class, Living with Diabetes, in English and Spanish. This is a two
hour class for persons living with diabetes or pre-diabetes and their family members. Join this

Educator.

Description: The main focus for the LDA continues to be a grassroots, community-based
approach to preventive diabetes education and self-management. All classes approximately 90
minutes. All diabetes classes free. Classes offered: Diabetes Prevention, Diabetes Control and
Self-Management, Diabetes Peer Support Group, "Sabor y Sazón" Healthy Cooking Program,
"Mi Vida Yoga" and Exercise Program and Supportive Services offers coordination of services
for free glucometers and general oral medicine and insulin. Classes are in Spanish and English

12. Roybal Diabetes Management Center CHC

Description: This center offers comprehensive care to patients who have diabetes but lack
adequate health insurance to take care of their medical needs. At the center we draw all
laboratory tests at your initial visit and results are ready within twenty minutes. While you are at
the clinic you are evaluated by a diabetes educator as well as a diabetes specialist. A diabetes
management plan is created for treating your diabetes and you will be followed by one of the
centers highly trained diabetes nurse educators. Once a year (or more often, if needed) you will
be checked by the diabetes physician, to make sure your diabetes treatment is on track.

nutrition counseling in both English and Spanish. Diabetes Management Classes.
This program is offered in a series of four group classes, each dealing with the various aspects of
