Its unique selling point is the speed and efficiency that surpasses
any existing models without impacting accuracy. Such
improvements were made possible by over 150,000 lines of code
                  that Gregory developed.

The potential for this tool has real life implications, and could be
deployed to filter out deepfake media; with the aim to make the

Problems With In 2019, Google announced its Privacy Sandbox, a project to create an
eco system on the internet that is equally beneficial for all users. At

Google Privacy
the heart of this project is the security of user data, with a focus on
blocking techniques to stop the tracking of users across the internet.

Sandbox Google has released a new update and decided to get rid of third-
party cookies, which are traditionally used to track and target users.

Starting To They plan to replace this with what they describe as ‘five APIs’.

Emerge Essentially these work like CAPTCHAs; you confirm you are a real
human one time and this confirmation will be fed into each API as you
move around the internet. The ultimate goal of this will be a universal
identifier, which will be able to track the same user across multiple
devices. However, all of this is still in the testing phase and reports are
still coming through of understandable problems linked to the Privacy
                 Sandbox.

According to Ad Exchanger, as of December 2020, Google is dealing

Is Whatsapp Whatsapp has begun to rollout new terms to all its users, which
will come into play on February 8th. The key update affects how
the company processes user data, and how businesses can use a
Sharing Data new set of features that integrate WhatsApp’s shopping features
                 with Facebook’s wider business.

With Facebook? Historically, Whatsapp has always operated independently of
Facebook, especially in terms of any data sharing. This new step
will begin the integration of data between the two platforms,
effectively meaning this process will only continue to move in one
                 direction.

This feature doesn’t include any sharing of conversation data,
which Whatsapp have always been very protective of. Any
conversation data is fully encrypted, meaning it can’t currently be
shared with any platform, including Whatsapp themselves.

Facebook have always been clear in their long term plans for
Whatsapp, centred around a term they call “interoperability”, this
is essentially the ability to use Whatsapp to send and receive Read more here:

This change will further integrate Whatsapp into the family of
Facebook apps, but will continue to deliver the promise of fully
                 encrypted conversations within Whatsapp.

Having said that, a Whatsapp spokesperson explained that user
accounts won't be deleted if they fail to agree to the new terms,
but they won't be able to continue to use the service until they
                 agree.
