                      MEET THE PEOPLE
                                 Things to do

Ireland is known for its warm and welcoming hospitality, and Doolin is
no different. In fact, Doolin is well known for its personal touch and
homely charm. So much so, that this year, Doolin has been awarded
Fáilte Ireland’s Destination Award for Excellence in Customer Service
         - Fáilte Ireland is the National Tourism Development Authority of
Ireland. Doolin is the first and only village in Ireland to receive this
award, and we're thrilled that our little village has been recognised for
         its big heart.

         What makes Doolin special?
The People. There is a great sense of community in Doolin and not
just among the locals. Doolin is a place of knowledge sharing, and
storytelling, with stories from all over the world being shared over a
pint of porter in the local pub, a coffee in one of the artisan cafés, a
meal in the local restaurants, with your accommodation host and so
on. Doolin is the perfect place to meet people - get talking to the locals
who are all very knowledgeable of the area, and truly experience Irish
hospitality at its finest, from the minute you arrive, until the minute
         you depart.

TOP DRIVING TIPS:
We drive on the left, you'll soon get the hang of it!
It's mostly 'stick-shifts', you can expect to pay a premium for an
automatic car, particularly in high season.
Irish roads can be narrow, particularly along the wild Atlantic Way, opt
for a smaller car & say no to 'upgrades'!
 Don't forget your GPS! We are 53° 0' 57.7044'' N and 9° 22' 38.7120'' W.
