       Monitoring & HealthCare IT
Attendance and successful completion of the Monitoring and Healthcare IT training courses does not prepare the student
for installation or configuration of Dräger’s complex systems. The courses are designed to provide basic information
for first call troubleshooting and basic repairs. These systems should be installed by an appropriately appointed,
technically-trained Dräger representative(s), under the guidelines of approved procedures established by Dräger.

This seminar introduces the learner to fundamental computer networking concepts and how they’re applied to the Dräger Omega and Omega-S products. This
seminar is the introduction to further study in the Draeger Healthcare field. This seminar is required for networking other Dräger Monitoring and IT products.

A list of the basic networking concepts discussed and applied will be:
–– Networking topologies (wired), their necessary communication protocols, and terminology.
–– TCP/IP network configuration (addressing, subnetting and planning) and how it is applied to integrate with the Infinity Omega and Omega-S.
–– LAN and WAN technologies, and how Infinity Omega and Omega-S solutions integrate with each.

To fully grasp the concepts of networking in regards to the Dräger Omega and Omega-S products it is highly recommended that the student attend this course
       regardless of IT skillset.

This seminar continues where the Network Fundamentals Theory seminar left off. It introduces the learner to networking concepts and how they’re applied to the
rest of the Infinity® Monitoring and Healthcare IT product line. The seminar will be a combination of lecture and hands-on learning using the latest networking
appliances and Dräger equipment. Each student will be required to configure multiple devices including, but not limited to, Cisco 2600 series routers, switches
and a host of Draeger Infinity® products.

A list of the basic networking concepts discussed and applied will be:
–– Networking topologies (wireless), their necessary communication protocols, and terminology.
–– LAN and WAN technologies, and how Dräger’s Infinity Monitoring and Healthcare products integrate with each.
–– VLAN planning and application using managed switches and wireless devices.
–– Basic routing concepts using Cisco® devices for configuration and practical application within an Infinity network.
–– The student will also be challenged with a number of hands-on exercises that are centered around troubleshooting, error management and proper network
          capacity usage techniques.

To fully grasp the concepts of the Infinity Monitoring and Healthcare IT product line it is highly recommended that the student attend this course regardless of IT
skillset. The methods used to fully configure and integrate a Dräger device onto an Infinity network go beyond basic computer networking and configuration skills.
This Advanced Infinity Networking course curriculum brings these concepts into the forefront of the lectures and hands-on exercises, and thus allowing the student to
become comfortable utilizing these universal concepts in a Dräger specific way.

       *Advanced Infinity Networking course prerequisites.
Appropriate IT skills and/or experience needed to attend this class are as follows:
       –– IP addressing
       –– Network layers (OSI model)
       –– Routing
       –– Switches and hubs
       –– LAN and WAN technologies
       –– VLAN design
–– Network diagnostic tools and protocols
       –– Port management and configuration

The following vendor-specific IT Certifications can be presented in lieu of not attending this course:
       –– Cisco CCNA®

        IMPORTANT: CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations received, in writing, 15 business days prior to the course will not be billed for the seminar. A fee of 50% of the total tuition will be charged
for cancellations less than 15 business days of the scheduled seminar date. Please note that if you do not cancel in writing and do not attend, you are

If Dräger cancels a course, you will be provided with a minimum of 15 business day’s notice and the full tuition will be refunded or applied toward any
future course. Cancelled students will be placed on a priority list for the next available course. Dräger cannot be held liable for non-refundable travel
expenses in the event of a course cancellation.
