DS PERFORMANCE SEATSPURETECH PETROL ENGINES
The PureTech Turbo 3-cylinder petrol engine is ‘International
Engine of the Year 2018’. This is the fourth successive year that
the engine has won the award in the 1L to 1.4L category, as
judged by a jury of international journalists.
The 1.2L PureTech 110 S&S EAT6 Auto is part of the range and is
compliant with the latest Euro 6.2 emissions standards.
Designed to minimise fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, without
compromising engine power, PureTech technology optimises the
size and weight and reduces friction between engine components.
BLUEHDi DIESEL ENGINES
BlueHDi diesel technology leads the way in meeting and exceeding
the latest Euro 6 emissions standard. The Selective Catalytic
Reduction (SCR) module is the most effective method available
for the treatment of harmful Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) emissions.
Working in conjunction with the particulate filter (DPF), diesel
engine emissions are dramatically reduced, cutting not only CO2,
but the other harmful by-products of diesel combustion.

EAT6 AUTOMATIC GEARBOX
Designed and developed in partnership with market leader AISIN
AW, the latest EAT6 automatic gearbox delivers a compelling
blend of smooth power delivery, ultra-fast gear changes and
exceptional efficiency. Fully automatic torque-converter based
technology ensures excellent low-speed driveability with a creep
functionality that is particularly convenient in low-speed traffic.
DS CONNECT BOX EMERGENCY & ASSISTANCE
DS Connect Box provides peace of mind that in the event of
an emergency, anywhere in Europe, 24 hours a day, 7 days
a week, help is always at hand. In the event of a collision
severe enough to deploy the vehicle airbags or the seat belt
pretensioners, the vehicle automatically makes an emergency
call on behalf of the driver. Precise location information is also
sent to the call centre so the appropriate emergency service
can be dispatched quickly.
ACTIVE CITY BRAKE
Active City Brake helps avoid low speed accidents by
automatically applying the brakes when an impact is anticipated.
Operating in urban conditions at speeds of less than 20 mph,
a short range sensor fitted to the top of the windscreen
detects other vehicles that are driving in the same direction or
stationary and monitors the rate at which the distance between
the two cars reduces. If the distance to the car in front is too
small and closing at too great a rate, the vehicle will perform an
emergency stop to avoid a collision.DS 3
