About the Property Velmoré Hotel & Spa is situated approximately 57km from Johannesburg’s CBD. Our sensational property consists out of 2 hotels, namely Velmoré Hotel& Spa & Velmoré Grande. A Luxury hotel that makes you look twice whether you have left South Africa and entered the UK. There are 2 hotels

on the property, Velmore Hotel and Velmore Grande Hotel. I stayed in the latter. Each Room is spacious, modern and
balconies with beautiful views. It is situated in the countryside between Johannesburg and Pretoria so peaceful. Lanse-
ria airport would be your closest airport, but 45 minutes from OR Tambo out of peak traffic hours. The dining room offers
good buffet food, however ala-carte can be ordered as well. It has a renowned spa, however due to time constraints
this I did not have time for. It has large conference facilities with rooms ranging from 50 up to 300 at a guess. If you are
there for business or just relaxation around a large pool Velmore offers it both.

The view of the dam and mountains from some of the rooms is truly breathtaking. The swimming pool had fallen into dis-
use, but along with the tennis courts and nearby business complex, could provide all the distraction one needs on their
semi-rural retreat.
My fiance and I had the pleasure of spending the weekend at the Velmore Hotel Estate. Our room at the Grande Hotel

was amazing - very neat and modern and spacious. How lovely to wake up and have a cup of coffee on the balco-
ny while looking out at the lovely view. The facilities are all of the highest quality. We thoroughly enjoyed our couples
massage at the Bakwena Spa - it was such a treat. The staff however are the real gems - everybody was so helpful and
friendly, they could not do enough for us. The grounds are spectacular. We would definitely recommend the hotel for a
conference, wedding or romantic weekend getaway. A massive thank you to Hennie and the team at Velmore for an
unforgettable weekend. We will definitely be back in the future

The atmosphere was calming, I mean the music, and the scent in the reception? Absolutely, impressed.

Like good wine, it keeps on improving. The gardens look beautiful and the breakfast, good as always.
The staff were very helpful and friendly. Since my last visit a new main entrance gate has been build
