WORLD-LEADING RESEARCH
At AUT’s School of Education, we believe in high-quality research that has impact, and have world-class
researchers and research strengths across education. Our research-active staff are widely known for
their expertise in all areas of the education sector – from education policy, the changing nature of public
education and mindfulness for teachers, to educational leadership and leadership development, equity
culture and diversity, and the philosophy of education. “The Master of Educational Leadership was strongly recommended by a
friend. She spoke highly of the programme content, learning environment
and the lecturers at AUT, calling the programme ‘a transformative
education opportunity to learn about leadership for the 21st century’.
The opportunity to mix with others with a passion for education was
an exciting journey, and I loved meeting other educators outside my
school community. I’m continuously sharing my learning, research
and ideas with my colleagues, and I have applied my newly learnt
leadership theories to my roles of dean, teacher and Board of
Trustees representative.”
