REGISTRATION PROCEDURES
GENERAL INFORMATION
Registration for all classes, programs, activities and events are
based on a first-come, first-served basis. Payment is due at the
time of registration. All registration is accepted on-line at www.
JARPD.ORG or at the District Office, Monday — Friday, 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Classes and activities are not prorated. Dates,
times, location and fees are subject to change without notice.
A $25.00 service charge will be applied to all returned checks.
Pre-registration is required as classes must meet minimum
enrollments before class will start.
FEES
Registration fees are based upon Park District residency.
Residents are determined by those whom reside within the Zip
Codes of 91752 and 92509. Those living outside these zip codes
are considered non-residents. Please call the District Office for
the most up to date information. Cash, Check, Visa, MasterCard,
Discover, and American Express Cards Accepted.
REFUND AND LATE POLICY
Refunds are only issued in the event the District cancels a
program, class, activity or event. Approved refunds will be issued
via check for cash and check purchases. Payments made by credit
card will be refunded to the card from which original payment
was made.
LATE FEE POLICY: For parent(s) and/or guardian(s), with a child
enrolled in a District program, arriving to pick up a child any time
after 5 minutes from the time the program has ended, a “Late
Fee” will take effect. A fee of $1.00 per minute will be applied
every minute thereafter until a parent/guardian arrives. This late

fee payment is due in full, immediately, upon arrival, payable by
cash or check only. In the event this fee is not paid at the time of
arrival, the child will then be excused from the program in which
they are enrolled. The payment must then be paid at the Jurupa
Area Recreation and Park District Office before the child may
return to the program.
IMAGE RELEASE
Please be advised that all participants, involved in any District
program or special event, are subject to being photographed.
Such photographs may be used by J.A.R.P.D. without an
obligation to provide compensation to those photographed.

Decorating Contest
Gather your ghosts, ghouls, and goblins! Pose your pumpkins and
phantoms! Enter as an individual or as a neighborhood block. All
decorations must be in the front yard.
Judging categories include Best Theme, Scariest, Most Original
and Funniest. All entries will be included on our Halloween Map.
Nominations will be accepted on our website:

Voting will take place October 25 – 28.
Winners will be awarded October 29th.

These classes are designed for students to move up in the program as they
mature and develop their skills.

PRE-COMBO 1 (AGES 2 - 3 ½)
This is a 30 minute class for the youngest dancers. Children will learn basic
Ballet and Tap steps as well as discipline, balance and basic coordination.
The instructor is very patient with young children and allows each child to
learn at their own pace. Minimum of 7 Students required, Maximum of 12
students.

FOLKLORICO (AGES: 6 - 14)
Learn different styles of traditional Mexican Folk Dancing. This is a
beginning level performing four-week class for boys and girls. Participants
must wear dance attire (black shirt, pants, shorts or black leggings),
Folklorico shoes and must bring circular practice skirt (Girls). *Note: This is
a performing class, further information on performances, costumes, etc
can be obtained directly from instructor on first day of class. Minimum of 7

MUSIC FUNDAMENTALS FOR EVERYONE! CLASSES
(AGES 12 & UP)
Learn the fundamentals of music in this six-week class to expand your
playing and understanding of how music works. These fundamentals
will allow you to write your own songs, compose for other instruments,
understand instrumental roles and effectively communicate with other
musicians. If you play a musical instrument and want to learn more about
the language of music, this class is for you!
This class will teach you to:
Read and write music notation
Understand melody, harmony and rhythm
Write for other musical instruments (even if you don’t play that instrument)
Learn to play the piano from understanding the basics of music
Write/Compose music

15TOT TIME (AGES 3 - 5)
YOUTH ENRICHMENT
Tot Time is a recreational program led by our recreation staff. Children are
provided with daily activities including arts and crafts, outdoor play, sports,
group games, cooking, story time, singing and introduction to letters and
writing. Cooperative play, sharing, participation, building self-esteem and
independence are emphasized. Class is limited to 40 participants. All children
must be potty trained. Class is on-going, on monthly basis during the school
year. Copy of child’s birth certificate required at time of registration.
Participants cannot be registered in a Monday, Wednesday, Friday Class
and a Tuesday, Thursday class at the same time. Anyone registered for both
classes at the same time will be removed from both, without a refund.

In this six-week class, participants will learn how to set a table, wash
dishes, read recipes and prepare simple menu items. All cooks will need

Day camp participants will take part in various them-based activities,
including arts & crafts, sports, group games, cooking and nature projects.
Cost includes one local field trip during the session. Morning and
afternoon snack will be provided. Participants must bring their own lunch.
Copy of birth certificate required at time of registration. Pre-Registration
mandatory. Minimum enrollment of 15 participants must be met.

WINTER YOUTH BASKETBALL (AGES 6 - 14*)
This is a nine-week recreational league for girls and boys with three-weeks
of pre-season practice. A copy of each player’s birth certificate is required
at time of registration. Volunteer coaches required for all teams. Volunteer
coaches must clear background check and clear fingerprinting before
being granted a team. Special requests for a particular coach, practice
time, carpools, etc. are not guaranteed. Registration fee includes all team
practices, league games, team jersey and end of the season award.

CYSC is a youth cheerleading group designed to teach students self-

Use your smartphone to submit non-emergency issues.
E-citizen is a mobile and online non-emergency
service request system for the Jurupa Area Recreation
and Park District. E-citizen allows residents to identify
issues and report those service requests directly to
the district. Residents can upload a photo or video
of the issue and mark the geographic location on
a map. Each request can then be tracked for follow
up. Requests may be submitted online or using a
smartphone.
