                                                             Book Trailers

                                   Make a video book trailer for your favourite book from the
                                   2018 CBCA Notable list and screen it in the school library
                                   or the classroom or as a parent showcase.
                                   Check out the following resources to help you:

                                   Alternatively these book trailers can be uploaded to a school,

                                               Family Event: Short Film Festival

                                        Shine the spotlight on Reading and Writing
                                   This is a wonderful school event that can focus on reading,
                                   writing and the use of technology and become a showcase for
                                   parents and the local community.
                                   Project options (choose one):
                                   • Create a short film that features a “treasure.” (The treasure can
                                   be nominated such as a bbok, banana, umbrella etc) Students will
                                   need to write the script and then produce the film.
                                   • Small groups can work collaboratively to adapt a picture book
                                   into a screen play, create the props and costumes, then dramatise
                                   while being filmed.
                                   • Create a short film of one of the notable or shortlisted books.
