1881 The Hands legacy dates back to 1881, when an Englishman, A Tellery, chanced
upon the talented carpet weaving community of Bhadohi. Tellery pioneered
India’s carpet exports. Over time, the business changed ownership. In 1960,
the Patodias took over and laid the foundation for Hands as we know it today.
