ENRICHMENT CLASSES Robotics/Virtual Reality Roller Skating & Roller Blading Lessons LOCATION: Amped Reality 2923 28th Street SE, Grand Rapids (All Ages) INSTRUCTOR: Amped Reality This class will teach the basics of roller skating and roller blad- ing including starting & stopping, forward and backward ma- neuvering, falling down & getting up, balancing on one foot, Explore Space with Virtual Reality (9-Adult) technique, and safety. ENRICHMENT CLASSES Self-Defense and Safety Awareness (5-15 Years) LOOK This fun course is designed for self-defense purposes, empha- sizing child safety awareness. The children practice martial arts techniques to help them get out of dangerous situations. We show them how to walk away from a fight and, when necessary, defend themselves. The students learn confidence and how to become young men and women of integrity. They have the op- for the summer portunity to spar (light contact) and to progress to higher belts. [Additional fees apply in these.] This program was designed specifically for children age 5 through 15, and is taught by a BROCHURE Peaceful Dragons Black Belt who has extensive training in deal- ing with children. Lacrosse is a sport that is played on the run, requires teamwork and develops a wide variety of skill sets. Our program works on the basic fundamentals of passing, catching and moving with the ball, while developing strategic game strategies as the players get older. Many of our volunteer coaches have received training from US Lacrosse and understand the importance of providing a challenging and enjoyable playing experience for the young athletes. SWIMMING SPECIAL OCCASION Renting the Grandville Middle School pool is a great way to celebrate a birthday, graduation, church gathering, or a get-together with family and friends. Pool rentals are available on Saturdays from 3:00-5:00 pm. COST: $100/ 2 hours includes a lifeguard, (up to 20)* and use of Cafeteria to bring pizza, cake, ice cream RENTAL! or play party games. *Additional lifeguard fee of $50 if more than 20 swimmers.
