The Curragh Thoroughbred Trail is one of
the highlights of Longines Irish Champions
Weekend taking place during the morning
of Sunday 11th September, before a world
class afternoon of racing on Sunday 11th
September.
A unique chance to see behind the scenes
including visits to world famous stud farms,
racing stables with the opportunity to meet
legendary trainers including John Oxx
and Dermot Weld, together with visits to
other well known racing establishments

A new vision for the RACECOURSE
Curragh Reacecourse
The Curragh is set to embark on a major
redevelopment project which will trans-
form the facilities into one of the most
iconic sporting venues in Europe to include
a spectacular new grandstand. The multi
million euro project is expected to com-
mence during the Autumn of 2016 with
completion due in 2018. The racecourse
will not close during this time with racing
scheduled to take place in 2017.
