Starting and finishing from Castlehaven GAA pitch, just outside
Skibbereen, the courses will take you out of Skibbereen and through
START surrounding villages, such as Union Hall, Castletownshend, and
Baltimore as well as tens of kilometers along coastal roads with
stunning sea views as far as the famous Fastnet Rock. The course

why you should take part in scar 2018
SCAR brings men and women together from all ages and demographics (our main age category is
30-45 years). Some are seasoned, competitive adventure race athletes whilst others are in it just for the
personal challenge or simply as beginners trying out our Taster course. However, the shared bond that
binds them all together is the incredible feeling of satisfaction and elation felt when they haul their tired
bodies over the finish line...and to make it feel even better they know they’re raising money for charity.
