over the famous Shotover River! The uniquely

60m vertical freefall down a steep rocky cliff face.

WILD WIRE
Experience the highest waterfall climb in the world!
You’ll be picked up in Wanaka and driven to the base
of Twin Falls Waterfall where you’ll be taught
everything you need to know before starting your
climb on the Via Ferrata with your guide.
You’ll be secured by cable and climb using iron rungs,
pegs, bridges and ladders, so you’ll be able to climb
routes that may not be accessible otherwise! The
best thing is, you need no climbing experience to
enjoy a Via Ferrata walkway.
Anyone older than 12 years old and who has some
level of basic fitness, will love Wild Wire Wanaka.

BOARDING
If you’re looking for a unique adventure, then you’ve
found it! You’ll begin with a spectacular 40 minute
helicopter flight, getting you up close and personal
with Mt Aspiring, and remote glaciers along the way.
Once at our secluded mountain lake, 1000m high
above sea level, you’ll explore the pristine area,
fully guided by a qualified and experienced SUP
instructor, before relaxing on the shoreline with a
decadent gourmet picnic.
If you’re looking for something slightly less
adventurous, there are other guided SUP missions
available which explore Lake Wanaka or the
Clutha River away from the busy crowds!

S TA R G A Z I N G
Nestled in the heart of the Southern Alps, the Cardrona
Valley offers some of the best conditions on Earth for
stargazing. Not only does it have a dark sky with minimal
light pollution, but it’s far enough south to have a
great vantage point to view the famous Southern sky,
and you may even see the Southern Lights!
The first part of the tour is a naked eye astronomy
tour where your guide will talk about the Southern
sky, constellations, movements of planets, and
celestial navigation.
In the second half of the tour, using their top of
the line telescope, you’ll get a chance to see (weather
depending): star clusters and nebulae, craters of our
Moon, the moons of Jupiter (on the first tour of the
night), rings of Saturn, binary stars and other galaxies.

HELI-BIKING
This is a must-do, off the beaten track activity in
Wanaka! All biking equipment, professional guide
and helicopter transport are included. Enjoy
breathtaking views of Mt Cook (NZ’s highest

giant snow-capped Southern Alps.
Beginner, intermediate and advanced options are
available. If you’re aiming for the most vertical,
try landing at 6500ft on one of New Zealand’s

Access the best untracked powder snow in the
beautiful Southern Alps mountains all while avoiding
the crowds and experiencing the thrill of doing laps
by helicopter! Highly experienced guides offer a

SKI CONCIERGE
For the ultimate ski experience treat yourself to a ski
concierge. They will meet you at your accommodation to
plan your day and take you to your chosen mountain in
luxury, getting you as close to the slopes as possible. Your
guide will assist you with all aspects of your day from
carrying your ski’s to arranging your lunch, ski passes, and
lessons and pointing out the best runs for your abilities
and where the best snow conditions are. You have the
guide and the vehicle for the entire day which allows you
the flexibility of coming down when you want, you could
even choose to explore historic Arrowtown or the local
boutique wineries should the weather turn inclement.

SNOW SHOEING
Snowshoeing in Queenstown offers a more
peaceful exploration of the wilderness for
non-skiers to enjoy the snow. If you’d like a guided
snowshoeing experience, we have fun options for
families (including building a snowman, snow cave
and igloos and throwing snowballs) or longer options
for the more adventurous (hike to the beautiful
alpine Lake Alta or heli-snowshoeing). All guided trips
have group and private options.

This is the ultimate winter experience – start with
a helicopter transfer to the snowmobiles and

ICE DRIVING
This is one for the adults to enjoy! It’s the only ice
driving experience in the Southern Hemisphere!
The track operates in July and August at Snow Farm
and is just 45 minutes from Queenstown.

thrill of drifting around a snow circle or slalom course.
