Be the Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, which is a new generation state university of
Hope! our country has 26 years history and says hello to the 5th academic year with more
than 180 departments and programs. Our university, which carries the quality of
education to international level and quality, and has respected scientists in our
staff, continues to increase its place in the academic performance ranking every
year.
We know that knowledge is important in every age and that knowledge is the basis
of important developments in the world. We believe that knowledge will carry our
university and you to the future we desire. We aim to be a university that not only
uses knowledge but also produces and has a say in the future of our country.

THE HISTORY OF
BANDIRMA ONYEDİ EYLÜL UNIVERSITY
Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University was established in 2015 with the educational
institutions taken from Balıkesir University, it has a 24 years long standing past.. Our
University continues to give service to our country in science by establishing new
faculties and institues in addition to its present academic units.
Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, with Pr. Dr. Süleyman Özdemir’s being the Rector
started to step forward and currenlty continues to give high quality education with
4 institutes in 6 campuses, 9 faculties, 1 college, 8 vocational schools, 18 application
and research center continues its research activities.
As of 2019-2020 Academic Year, there are around 13,500 students (1,050
International Students) im Associate’s, Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral Degrees.

Continuing Training Application and Research Center report, BANÜ is ranked 17th among the “State Universities and Faculties”. In the same
report, is ranked our Maritime Faculty 1st, Faculty of Economics 2nd, Ömer Seyfettin Faculty
Intelligent Transportation Systems Application and Research Center of Applied Sciences 3rd and Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences 4th, respectively.
