IST Adventure
Hi International Service Team Members!
We have prepared a special offer for you. Would you like to make new friends and explore Poland
before coming to the European Jamboree 2020? If the answer is yes, you should check out our
IST Adventure Programme.
The IST Adventure is an extra (additional) part of the programme that will allow IST to explore
some parts of Poland and make friends in international groups of adult Scouts and Guides from
all over Europe and around the world.
Poland is a beautiful country where you can find amazing nature – mountains, lakes and forests,
vibrant cities and charming villages. The IST Adventure proposes a catalogue of various routes all
over Poland made up of two or three days of activities. Participants of IST Adventure will have a
chance to go on a hike, kayaking, cycling or learn more about Polish culture traditions, food,
history, and of course, its people.

Interested? If yes, let’s ACT then!

Follow the River
Route description Two active days dedicated to nature lovers. If you love paddling, we
welcome you to see the most beautiful river in Northern Poland from a
kayak. We invite you to a 45 km, two-day tour of the middle section of
the Brda river, located between the national and landscape park. It is a
fast, picturesque and exciting kayak route, one of the most popular in
Poland. There are some rapids and slow sections of the river, surrounded
by vast pine forests, natural and cultural attractions on the river, and a
part of the river valley where the woods were totally devastated by a
hurricane in 2017, offering unique experiences.

Proposed programme
                                   Date 23rd July 2020
Description To begin with, a lunch at Mylof (Brda river) is planned. Here you will taste
fresh, smoked trout from the local producer; the biggest in Poland!
Before we start the trip, together we can see the oldest river dam in
Poland, built here in the 19th century. We start our trip at midday, travelling
25 km - from Mylof to Wowizoda. This part of the river valley was
devastated by a powerful storm in 2017. Millions of trees were knocked
down in an hour, and still, you can see the unique remains of this disaster.
The rest of the trip is surrounded by old pine and spruce trees. You will
spend the night under the old oak trees in the Woziwoda camp (tents
are provided). An evening campfire party with live music and a grill is
                                           planned.
                                   Date 24th July 2020
Description After breakfast, you will enjoy the second day on the river, a 21 km journey
from Woziwoda to Rudzki. This part of the river is a natural maze of river
curves. The valley of the river is partly forested and partly used as a
meadow. You can admire the wildlife or simply enjoy the paddling - the
